It seems that many still haven't understood, the dish takes (only in USA) its name from a restaurant that was practically a tourist trap, and that renamed a normal dish with the owner's name.... So obviously only in America is it known as such, since it was advertised by an actor who ate at that tourist trap. To illustrate: it's as if a famous Italian actor came to America and ate a hot dog from a cart that called them "spicy Joe" when back in Italy he praises the taste of it (pure fantasy😂) and then someone clever makes a hot dog with what he finds in Italy (which is completely different from the USA) and calls it spicy Joe... Now try to imagine an Italian tourist coming to America and asking for a "spicy Joe" in a damn 4 star restaurant! 😅 This is exactly what we experience every time an American asks for a "fettuccine Alfredo".

Their name makes more sense. Italian dishes are simple and tell you what to look forward to. I’ve never had Alfredo but I’ve definitely had various types of cheesy pasta!
