It’s fascinating to consider how ancient flood myths, like the story of Noah, might be rooted in real, catastrophic events. For instance, evidence of massive regional floods-such as those in Mesopotamia or the Black Sea-or even an asteroid impact in Greenland, could have inspired these tales. What if the story of Noah’s flood is less about a literal global deluge and more about how early humans made sense of overwhelming natural disasters? Perhaps it’s a metaphor for renewal, resilience, and humanity’s relationship with the divine. Understanding the scientific and historical context doesn’t diminish the spiritual meaning-it deepens it. What do you think: could the story be pointing us toward something bigger than just rain for 40 days?

I think those are great questions. I could see them being a way to figure out how to process a major disaster and make sense of the purpose of it. I think you're right, to me it doesn't diminish the spiritual meaning. There's definitely a renewal theme to the Biblical flood story. When the dove brings the olive branch to Noah to let him know there's good, dry land nearby, it was supposed to make the reader think of the Creation story in Genesis 1 when the spirit of God hovered over the waters (as the dove is a symbol of the Holy Spirit). So there was definitely an implied renewal or re-creation. I think it's fascinating. Great thoughts!

The most tendencious and noob analisys. There were giants of several sizes at several ages. There are modern (less than 200 year) pictures of more than 8 feet. Nascar lines, Puma Punco and several places could only be done by really big giants. Your answer about where are the bones is that it depends on how they were exterminated, what they find about the most recent ones they hide in the Smithsonian, part of the olders were petrified, some may be still alive (world hide secrets, its not what they tell), and some we cant even imagine.

That is the history of tattoos. People got them as an act of worship to a pagan deity, or it was a sign that you were a slave. My question is... if that is the history, why would you want to put it on your body?

This “fringe” theory is hardly new. In his “Guide for the Perplexed” written in 1109AD and translated into Hebrew in 1204AD, Rabbi Maimonides commentary on Genesis says there were other humans besides Adam. And Nahmanides, an authority on the Torah in 1250AD, draws similar conclusions about other humans besides Adam. I’m not saying they were right or wrong, but pointing out the fact that the idea of other humans existing besides Adam and Eve is not new. And the commentaries predate Darwin by several centuries, so you can’t say they were being sympathetic to evolution.

Yeah I agree with that, I find it in commentaries a lot. It just seems to surprise a lot of people when I mention it. Maybe they don't read the commentaries, not sure. That's great supporting evidence though that it predates evolutionary theory, because maybe some would give it more thought after knowing that.

An abstract depection of Monad the first entity and creator in Gnosticism. He is the invisible Spirit, of whom it is not right to think of him as a god, or something similar. For he is more than a god, since there is nothing above him, for no one lords it over him. For he does not exist in something inferior to him, since everything exists in him. For it is he who establishes himself. He is eternal, since he does not need anything. For he is total perfection. He did not lack anything, that he might be completed by it; rather he is always completely perfect in light. He is illimitable, since there is no one prior to him to set limits to him. He is unsearchable, since there exists no one prior to him to examine him. He is immeasurable, since there was no one prior to him to measure him. He is invisible, since no one saw him. He is eternal, since he exists eternally. He is ineffable, since no one was able to comprehend him to speak about him. He is unnameable, since there is no one prior to him to give him a name. He is immeasurable light, which is pure, holy (and) immaculate. He is ineffable, being perfect in incorruptibility. (He is) not in perfection, nor in blessedness, nor in divinity, but he is far superior. He is not corporeal nor is he incorporeal. He is neither large nor is he small. There is no way to say, 'What is his quantity?' or, 'What is his quality?', for no one can know him. He is not someone among (other) beings, rather he is far superior. Not that he is (simply) superior, but his essence does not partake in the aeons nor in time. The Apocryphon of John describing Monad.

nephilem does NOT mean GIANT it means TYRANT the Hebrew word for giant is different. Example (martin luther king was a giant in the civil rights movement). These men of anakim were tall tribes just like we see tribes or people known for their physical attributes such as samoan/pygmy. Also the book is Enoch has nothing to do with the old testament is a writing that drastically expound on enocks story that doesn't exist in the scripture. Just like jasher it's a writing that doesn't aline with scripture. BTW the only scripture is from gen-malchi period everything after that has been written as an addition. THE CUBIT WAS BASED OFF DAVIDS FORARM

Just a couple thoughts. Romans 10:4 says Christ is the end of the law for those who believe. So trying to make rules using the Old Testament is not what Jesus wants. It’s not the appearance of the exterior but what comes from our hearts. That being said for the last ,say 100 years were tattoos a way of portraying our hearts? I would say a large part of them were dealing with fleshly issues. Such as death , killing , skulls , satanism. A long with musicians from satanistic groups that are covered in them and gang members So for me I don’t think I would lose my salvation if I went and got one that had a verse or something spiritual But what kind of impression do we make on people who don’t believe. If we get tattoos and cause some weak Christian’s to stumble , I’m not sure I would want that on my conscience not only that, but who are we trying to emulate. I don’t think there is any teaching from Jesus on the exact matter. Just a question of why we think we need one.

The "Us" in Genesis 1 is alluding to God the Father talking to God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. God is three separate persons, but one. I know who God was talking to. He was talking to Himself. John 1:1 says, "In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God" (me paraphrasing). Jesus was there from the beginning of creation and so was the Holy Spirit. Jesus even said, "of that day, no one knows the hour but only God the Father" (me paraphrasing Matthew 24:36). God talking to Himself is not a big deal. You make it seem as if God is constrained to our human ideas and human thoughts. God is beyond us, He is bigger than us, and He is not us at all. I have no problem with God talking to Himself, in all His forms. The idea that God is telling the angels what He's about to do, and to ask for the angels' involvement, having a council of angels to help God decide what to do is blasphemous. There's nowhere in the Bible where God has a "council of angels". A long time ago, before I understood Christianity, I read somewhere and came up with this ridiculous idea that if God loved everyone, He would also be saving all the fallen angels. Nope. I was incorrect and misled. Jesus didn't die for the angels. Jesus died for human beings. There is no salvation for angels. You're going down the wrong path. It's not a simple misunderstanding. You're jumping down a rabbit hole. Commentary is not Biblical scripture, neither should commentary be taken as such. And nowhere in the Bible does God need advice or help from angels and nowhere does He have a council of angels to help Him. If God needed anyone, then He is not God, certainly not the Christian God of the Bible. You're looking for confirmation of God in other sources than the ONLY source you should believe in, His Word, the Bible. All these things you are doing is simply "tickling ears". It's not true and it's not real. Repent and turn from your wicked ways. The blood of all these people who believe in your vain imaginations are on your hand. So, may God have mercy on your soul for leading people astray.

You are kind of right I will tell you what I know when God created human from dust. He asked for angels each one to bring something to put in that man that he was creating in his image and likeness to one of the angels asked to bring fire to another one some water to another one wind air to another one something else but I don’t know. I don’t remember what now and the Angels obeyed to God’s command and they brought what God asked them to bring to him but it was involved the Trinity more rather than the Angels Jesus is proof of that when Jesus came here on earth to live among us and to teach us how to have a relationship with God right he looks like a human didn’t he write then God blow in man’s nostril his breath and man come alive a soul living soul that breath of life that God put it in man that’s the Holy Spirit that is in every each one of us if you look to Genesis God created first man male not woman because Jesus being God‘s image of invisible God image is a male not female and the angels after they’ve seen what God created they I mean the Angels were all mesmerised for the greatest God’s creation human

@ Ham had four sons, but the Bible states many times that ‘ Ham was the father of Canaan ‘. What was so special about Canaan? Canaan was the father of most of the evil hybrid giant tribes in the LAND of Canaan. In Genesis 10:15 it says Canaan begat Si’don and Heth , and then lists all of the ‘ ites ‘ , which were the hybrid tribes which came of Canaan and his wife.
