Have you actually played or faced a good spike player? Cause it does require knowledge. The decks aren't easy to play and you do need to think about your plays so you can play the deck optimal😁

I think a very important part of spikes is that the deck can't be played with a helmet on. If you go dumb aggro you'll always run out of gas before you manage to win the game. Unlike many of the top meta decks that can actually just win games due to the sheer power some of their strides have! While I do agree that knowing your matchups is part of playing any deck optimal its something that weighs much harder in the underdog decks 😉

Thanksss for the hidden shoutout again 🏈and for my amazing friends who defended my reason to play CFV👊🏼 As spike main for almost 12 years nou (from the start of the game) I could tell you one thing: you really need to face a good spike player to judge the deck/clan 🙌🏼 As sparkels and Stijn already said, the spike premium gameplay needs insane amount of knowledge of the deck/clan itself and the deck you are facing. It is not like gears that with more attacks you make more +s or like neo that you just attack with no risks! You will lose hand, resources and more. Also spike premium falls into two categories (aggro and turbo): - Aggro spike is what you see moest of the time, it is a deck that needs a good balance and understanding of the tempo of the game to aggro or chill. Calling is bound to grades, open or not open rc and calling from hand or deck. It is very easy to missplay and lots of peeps that just pickup the clan make lots of mistakes, that is why they don't play it in big events. - Turbo spike is a different story 😈!!! My dude premium will never be the same after you face that deck in the right hands (maybe like 3 or 4 players world wide that could handel it)! You ot defensively or you die and cry! The deck is like playing chess! You can't play it without calculating your opponent next 2 or 3 moves (turns). You are also the one that could change the tembo of the game. Every drive, damage checks; every card you see played makes a big difference in your approach to the game. Mannn peeps judge spike wrong so many times and I have been playing this clan exclusively just to show the power of the clan! Have been to worlds multiple times in v and premium with spikes and topped and won more BCS and BSF with my amazing friends/team mates than I could count. I actually don't think we've ever gotten that promo. The closest thing to it is knight of determination lamorak! His act skill is not once per turn and will give more power. That being said I dont like just burning cb on buffing him when I can do cool multi attack combos.

So in my personal experience Ive noticed I end up having soul only to activate her once or twice max since rideline uses soul and the main support card (the forest dragon) uses up soul. So while shes very strong I enjoy mixing her with diantha to have a better chance at having the resources available to do my plays! With the release of set 3 we also have acces to alvina who uses energy instead maybe thats also a good addition! ~Pablo

I get what you mean there are enough decks that dont deal with it and end up giving you the one extra soul you need. Sadly shojodoji is the best deck for set 3 and thus they can easily bounce it making you soul-less 😉 - Pablo

Not a Narukami player myself but ive played against and talked about this deck idea quite a bit, its funny being able to stride into legion into superior ride for some very unique concepts. For sure an interesting deck to build around. Generally just playing the generic good Narukami cards and some of the good vermillion support. Im for sure not the authority on this however and you should feel free to explore and try out some cool builds yourself :) -Deli

That is true, if you see your opponent is damage denying you have to make that split decision of farming up hand with the costless strides or baiting your opponents only to use the timeless Sagramore/Malegeant combo when your opponent drip feeds you counterblast. It's most certainly a battle of the minds at that point which is something I truly love about Vanguard! -Radiant

It's an incredibly fun deck! While it's not the ideal build for Golds at the moment I'm quite sure you can make a really strong aggro deck with it! -Radiant

Thanks for the advice, we've done so for our previous tier lists but how encompassing premium is as a format, using the basic metric felt more than sufficient

As someone who also plays Victor the deck is such a dice roll Draw the god exodia hand? Nothing short of damage OT can stop you. I’ve taken people people from 1-6 damage in one turn through three damage triggers and two heals But that god hand happens so little

Thanks for the question! I've actually tried quite a few times to make it work since claret sword has always been one of the coolest units to me in shadowpaladin! Sadly I ended up with a deck with a lot of draw power but not enough power to finish the game! I might try again in the future but for now we will probably not cover one 😉 - Pablo From Locals

Single sleeved works completely fine, a double sleeved deck is just narrowly fitting so you have to be careful when you close it!

We took a short break to make sure enough new sets were known and tested! We'll probably make new ones around Set3 so stay tuned!

Sadly the Keter Pile is the best way to build the deck currently, since Teithfall gives you a superior call from top 5 and a 10k body for when you no longer have orders to play, choosing to forgo it can still bring a lot of fun with it! Running cards like Nobia or Sadie works and of course you could add Sajess back in as well! -Radiant

With dzbt3 we'll get a new support card I hope that one is enough to get a working build again! Ive tried to make small changes to this one and tested it during fun games before locals but nothing feels right yet!

Probably needs to stop blitz orders too with how good they are becoming! Can't have them stop our pressure!

My personal reason for it is that they usually end up in hand first and if your opponent guard restricts you and you haven't been able to set up just yet it still comes in clutch, it's more for safety's sake! -Radiant

Garmore is definitely my #1 Favourite card and I truly hope Bushiroad gives him some more love in the future! Gandeeva surprisingly I enjoyed playing with and against for some reason 😅 -Radiant

This deck needs to really focus on its multi attacks to not go into time, else it becomes really difficult. If you pair into the mirror or another stall deck like veleno you might aswel decide who wins with rock paper scissor

Suleiman didnt help with forcing this specific multi attack combo so that's why I had to cut him to make room! I believe in a future build it might be good again definetly since we now have the grade 1 g guardian promo.

@@K1no_TheSora I have to be fair I haven't managed to make a build I feel good about post the promo. Basically the combo I have in mind is calling both Kadaval and Wigstan with Altmile. Hoping Wigstan calls the g guard promo behind Altmile so its an 18k column. Swing vanguard first, then swing with Wigstan on Force 1, swing Kadaval boosted by Eunice for the soul charge this should put all our CB facedown. Calling Suleiman from deck to the force marker and finishing with its attack by bouncing the backrow center G guard promo. I hope you manage to find a way to make it work ;)

I've really tried to min max it as much as possible! Altmile has so many good G2s to choose from, but since we can recycle with Laile, it feels like running so many 2ofs is fine!

Yeah right now in set 1 it can sometimes have an awkward field but honestly I don’t really mind it. But the Fiore is still capable of adding itself from the top 5 so I often don’t have too much issue having 2 Fiores on the field. I guess you can replace Morpho with a suitable g1 if you’d prefer tho. -Silver

@@ValkyriesChosen The big problem with Morpho, besidse it burning CB that you'd much rather be using for either Fiores or Efarus, is that the Velenos themselves pretty much outclass whatever utilty she offers by themselves already and do so without messing with the wincondition. It becomes extra especially true in Z-Set 2 when Ciradaka comes out and he fetches 2 Blitz for the same cost and is both searchable and reusable. Fiore can search herself but it requires you to already have at least 1 Fiore and not whiff that Top 5 search, and the more Fiores you have out the harder it becomes to keep finding more worse if any goes to damage zone. Besides if you want to run Morpho without screwing yourself you need 3 Fiores not 2. Mythiarq Habitat helps you find more Fiores more consistently but you often still end up struggling to fill out the whole backrow if Fiore is your only G1.

Dragonshield japanese size oversleeves. They are the most readily available in europe! I wont say theyre they have the best quality control but generally if you dont mix and match different boxes your deck should be able to pass deckchecks!

Im keeping my fingers crossed too! It doesn't have to be much but just a little bit to show that they plan on supporting the archtype still+

Yeah Id also like it if they made it more aggro than controlly with new support. I feel like that would fit its playstyle most! A g1 unit that would revive on ride of your mythiarq vanguard also would be very welcome!

Right! I think it has some really cool flavour! I was let down when I realised the restander was locked to your opponent being g3 but alas the deck still works fine! I hope they print a named pg for this deck I feel like its a tool it can desperately use
