Fine ride by Fanna Griffiths O.D. Rad Racer was by Restless Thief out of Imani and was trained by Errol Williams at this point in time. Caught and beat Exquisite (name later changed to Exceptional Type) in his next start with Joe Buchanan in the saddle, going 5 furlongs round in 59 4/5 seconds. That day, Joe won five races on the Wednesday afternoon. Rollicking Prince, Zuki King, Bay King and Nicodemus were the others.

Great Horse Royal Dad, he was . A real gritty fighter. Its a pitty Royal Dad wasn't able to win the Caribbean Classic that year. However, look at Fitzroy Gillespie aboard Forceful Native. Fitzroy is very skillful. Look at how quickly He switches whip from right hand to left. It's far better and cleaner than most of these jockeys . Forceful Native wasn't good enough. She got a good ride from Fitzroy that day. Very good and talented jockey Fitzroy was who didnt get the props nor the opportunity to excel. Won some memorable races at the track. He is now a good trainer, which is not surprising.

The Super Stake where Poor Little Rich Girl with Capines and Khadullah with Hubert Barthley is the one I love you replay I would say that's the most exciting Super Stakes

Winston Griffith has the most classic race winner the amount of second he ran behind Barthley he would have a lot more

Spectacular run was a great sprinter, ome of the best very game horse with a lot of class. Jamaican racing at its vrty best those days 💯💯💯💯

If I might be so allowed, some notable speedballs that Spectacular Run had conquered along the way includes: Ruckus. Mentor (as you just heard), El Vagabundo, Gaily Decorated, Sabatini, Tassy Wassy and the American colt , Dr. R.S.F.

Interestingly, that year of 1999 was when Trinidad's champion jockey Brian Harding dominated at the track.

If my memory serves me correctly - Spectacular Run's jockey wore the well known silks of the, Hon. Mr. Derrick Smith and was trained by the brilliant, Mr. Wayne DaCosta, OD.

The speedy Spectacular Run was well handled by then Jamaica based Bajan Simon Husbands. War Zone was ridden by none other than the great Emelio "Bimbo" Rodriquez for this prestigious event. 🤗🤗🤗

Hubert Barthley from the day i saw you rode your first winner at Caymanas Park on' Bold Venture ' i knew you was gonna be one of the best Jockey because of how ice cool you were.

Rodriguez won this race on Thornbird from the top of the lane. Stator jockey Ian Spence dont have a clue what he was doing and Winston Griffiths came too late with my Apology. The late great Chris Armond said in his commentary...that it was jockeyship that won it for Thornbird and Emilio Rodriguez at his brilliant best that snatched the derby away with a horse that doesn't get a mile and a half and beating two horses that should've get a mild and a half. Great commentary from a great commentator..rip mr Chris Armond i surely miss you a lot and rip to champion trainer Wayne Dacosta. Big up yourself Rodriguez big ride.

This was a great ride by Hubert Bartley, full of timing...Neville Anderson do everything to dash away the race. Great commentary from the great Chris Armond...Rip Legend you will be miss but your voice still lives on.
