I have the model 700 installed on the supply side plenum of the furnace in the basement. I have all my house ductwork are sealed tight, and I did caulk where the humidifier frame is attached to the plenum, but there is noticeable air leakage out of the humidifier through the vent slits and where the cover meets the frame, especially during the A/C season. Any suggestions for sealing this?

90000 hrs on a ECM motor yeah looks like those hrs have been swapped, cause ill be damned. More like 4 to 5 years of use on most ECM motors. Oh you talking about the first ECM prototype yeah see how far that went lmao. Thats so bad info. BTW whoever puts yalls electrodes in the canisters on yalls humidifiers needs to completely seat them. Beat tall been getting few warranties on those control boards.

Thank you for contacting AprilAire! Complete Wi-Fi control via the Healthy Air App without hard wiring a Wi-Fi thermostat to the dehumidifier is currently not possible. We must hard wire a thermostat to the dehumidifier to control via Wi-Fi. That does not necessarily mean the thermostat needs to be mounted on the wall of the living space, however. The Wi-Fi thermostat can be placed near the dehumidifier, or preferably in the space the dehumidifier is dehumidifying. So, if it’s a 2,000 sq. ft. crawl space, for example, you can hard wire the thermostat and keep it in the crawl space and never see it on the wall. If yes, what type of controls can I use? Will I be able to monitor RH, temperature, up or down adjustments for humidity control and shut off if needed?

How do I power off the unit? I only have a plug in outlet connected to it. There’s no controller I have and the screen doesn’t give me any option to turn off system

I worked offshore and H2s is deadly and charcoal filters gave us extra life for hours And Merv13 is good but charcoal is the way to go

Charcoal filters help with most all issues and is proven, and regular systems and re-heat if you want high tech solutions, All this is just for more expensive system options Over all at the end of the day it does the same thing as are old engineers designing Just more money

Can the Ecobee Smart Thermostat Premium control the ventilation separately from the dehumidifier? Since the the ecobee can detect poor air, I'd like it to control the ventilation.

I have an E080 and have Pan Treat Tablets I use for my AC. It looks like I can put them in the E080. Is the pan in the E080 just that little gray channel you are pointing to at 1:40 in the video? Is that really the whole pan? I was thinking I'd need to open up the whole unit to find the pan inside somewhere. Do I just place a few tablets at different points along that channel?

Thank you for contacting AprilAire! That is correct, the drain pan is under the coils, however, you can only access the pan from that channel. You would want to add a few drain pan cleaning tablets to the pan from that channel and into the condensate pan reservoir to help assist with cleaning of the dehumidifier. @@aprilaireco Do you have an online spec sheet with how much refrigerant in each humidifier model. Also if there are any hidden service ports, going to tear one of these units down this weekend and try to figure out where they all leak from.

@@jimshorts7983 Thank you for your questions! Each dehumidifier has the spec. amount of refrigerant added on the sticker on the drain side panel. There are no service ports to add refrigerant as they have a closed system. @@aprilaireco Air in vs Air out in ws like 70 out was like 72 amps on compressor about 2.7 as I recall, high side hot leaving compressor low side never got cold at all. I have had 3 out of 4 of these lose all their charge. This one has sat never being used but maybe 2 times in 9 years everything is like new air filter never had a spec of dust on it, what can you do for my customers I buy these through a high end brand name dealer out of Wilmington mass. Has to be a weak point on these small units. I have done some very big units with no issues but not sure if those are made by you.

If the humidifier properly drained the cannister when shutting it off, why would the drain hose be blocked when you complete the cannister preplacement? Thanks.

Question...once we replaced the filter the fan is not turning back on. We did remove a very dirty filter that had a lot of residue in it. could that have been why the fan was blowing all the time and now that the filter is clean it does not have to work as hard or is there something wrong now with the unit? its a AprilAire 1620 213

I just got this upgrade kit for my Space-Gard 2200 and it did not come with adjustable supports. It is about 1/2 inch too small and is the 1213 Model. What can I do?

I can't get mine out. It hits a wall. I tried everything to get it out and I can't. When picking a furnace and installing nobody thought about that wall and since I rent and of course I'm a woman nobody thought to include me. Well, I'm the one that has to replace the filters.

If you are looking to reset the service reminder, you would just need to hold the up and down arrow at the same time for about 5 seconds. Otherwise, you can power cycle the thermostat, but we would never recommend to reset the thermostat using the reset button. I changed mine this winter, and I noticed that my panel is blinking 'change water panel'. Any recommendations? The filter seems alright, but I do have hard water, so it does have a little mineral buildup.

If the change water panel light is flashing and the water panel doesn’t look covered in sediment from the hard water, then you just need to rotate the dial to the “test/reset” position, and it will clear the change water panel light. Thank you for contacting AprilAire! The AprilAire Model 700 Fan-Powered Evaporative Humidifier operates in conjunction with the heating, ventilating, air conditioning equipment (HVAC) blower. When the AprilAire Humidifier Control calls for humidity and the blower motor is operating, water flows to the distribution tray located at the top of the humidifier. The water is uniformly distributed across the width of the tray and through a scientifically designed system of outlets, it flows by gravity over the Water Panel evaporator, the heart of the humidifier. Dry, hot air is moved through the moisture-laden Water Panel evaporator where natural evaporation takes place. The now-humidified air carrying moisture in vapor form (nature’s own way) is circulated throughout the home. As the 700 is not a bypass humidifier, there is no place for a damper. Fantastic video and fantastic product which i inherited from my recent home purchase. I got a maintenance kit and came here looking for some guidance installing the filter and unfortunately did not find it mentioned. I also did not notice anywhere it mentioned to put the colored stripes on the top when installing the water panel. Otherwise a top notch instructional video.

instead of replacing cannister, can I just fill it with water, shake it and drain all the sandy substance and use the cannister again?

We advise connecting to the hum and C terminals as those are outputting 24 Volts specifically for a humidifier. W and C are technically not outputting it for the function of the humidifier and more for the furnace operation.
