The sentence at 9:53 is a bit tricky. I noticed so far in the book that xorxes often uses {da na broda} to correctly mean "nothing brodas" - I feel like hardly anyone gets this right! But even so, with {da va'o X ze'eba na kakne Y} meaning {naku su'oda zo'u da va'o X ze'eba kakne Y}, it's hard to imagine an interaction with the tense that gives the right meaning scope-wise. ("Or un baobab, si l'on s'y prend trop tard, on ne peut *jamais plus* s'en débarraser. / A baobab is something you *will never*, never be able to get rid of if you attend to it too late.")

Oh, but xorxes does not use CLL's leftward {na} scope! In fact, xorxes was one of the main proponents of getting rid of {na}'s exceptional behavior. I'm not sure where you saw {da na broda} as "nothing brodas".

@@Jaffra Oh, I figured that for example ".i da fa'a lo sirji crane cu na ka'e klama lo darno mutce" was meant to mean "it's impossible for anyone (= everybody can't)" rather than "there's someone who can't", but it sort of works both ways now that I think about it. The original sentence uses French "on" (the generic "you").
@lynn-ql3duАй бұрын
At 19:23 I think it should say ".i ki'u bo" - the original French says "Car je n'aime pas …" and the English says "For I do not want…" At 20:55 I held back from going on a little tangent, but I think it should say "(zi'o) *se* badri fa lo nu…" or "drigau fa lo nu…" instead of "badri fa lo nu…" in the sense that events can't be {lo badri}.

Might be a hot take: as a pianist and musician I can appreciate the immense knowledge of harmony and technical ability that this rendition demands, but it just doesn’t sound great in my opinion. Just because it is complicated doesn’t make it “good”.

hi there, do you think you could share the sheet music for your transcription of Anomalie's "Don't know why"? I've been meaning to learn it and any link to the sheets weren't in the description

Keyscape maybe, sounds like a score played by Midi :)
@abramfoster26 ай бұрын
This also registers to me as keyscape. It's played live if you check the source video, but they likely set the velocity sensitivity relatively low, which would account for a lot of that popcorn-y quality to the articulation here

awesome! would love to see just a whole new row added to the right with all the new chord options on it. Also could we get a IV/ slash chord?
@lynn-ql3du11 ай бұрын
thanks! I use the "split keys" setting to play IV/ chords! so for F/C I'll do something like F6 but press dark part of the bass key. I don't really want to crowd the screen with too many buttons, and I've grown too used to the current amount / layout. I recorded this video on my laptop but normally I play on my phone where the screen is really full already :)
@dougwinning44911 ай бұрын
@@lynn-ql3du oh cool I didn't think of using the split keys! thanks for the reply, love the instrument :)
