Love that persea ! I've planted Persea palustris. I know nothing about it all ! I want to grow many more of these gorgeous lauraceae. I used to love buying from Nick but as he says Brexit meaness & pettymindedness struck and that was the end of our fun.

Hello, I have been successful in having tulips growing in my flower garden now for 2 years!! This year I discovered seed bulbs!! I'm wondering if I can just plant these seeds in my actual flower garden this fall? Also do I need to dry these before I plant them? The seed pods are brown and cracked open right now.

Why do you advise growing a somewhat tender plant like crinodendron on a north facing wall rather than a south facing wall where sadly, mine died?

I heard the "black and white photos" tip years ago for garden design. It's advised for checking the shapes, structure and form of a garden, taking out the colour, so you are not distracted. Designers say that if a garden border works in black and white, it will work in colour.

Well I think I've found my people too - from those who are obsessed with instagram to those who furtle around in pots when given a gift to those who sold me Farfugium japonicum Aureomaculatum not all that long ago! I also seem to have a 12 year olds mind as I had to have Farfugium japonicum 'Wavy `Gravy' just for the name! Will look out for the F.j.variegatum too. I have never been so disappointed to get to the end of an episode, I hope there is a part two!

So funny how you Brits pronounce Kniphofia. Niffoffia. The guy they are named after is Kniphof, a German. So we (in The Netherlands) pronounce it as Kn (as in (Evel) Knievel. Then i as in 'in'. Then a single p. Then apart from the p hofia. The o pronounced as in 'low'. It took me months before I understood about which plant people were talking in British podcasts 😂.

I was so happy to hear a mention of the roe "Jubilee Celebration" which I have in my garden. I came very near to tossing it out because it had been pouting for years and eventually appeared to have died. Suddenly it started furiously demonstrating vigor and has been putting out buds that have actually bloomed! It still hasn't acquired the fabulous scent for which it is famous. But I live in hope now... Thanks for the glimmer. Very encouraging!☺

I've destroyed at least 30 larvae today......I lost the battle last summer, I want to win......what about cutting the Lily's at the base.....I was thinking if the beetles have no where to feed, they would die out......I'd hate to do it, Love my flowers, but the second I leave for a week, (camping, work,) I come home and the lilys are destroyed.
