The wall album is a complete story on its own and this song is a chapter. Understanding the story is reading the whole book. Dark side of the moon and Wish you were here albums also are stories, mainly about the band and Syd Barret, one of the founders of PF. His life took a tragic path and he was removed from the band but meanwhile for ever loved by his friends..henceforth the albums.
