Very cool, must say your pronounciation is pretty much on point. I must point out though that you should check your hard L&g’s (eg. Double L in Arnarfell, vill and svell) and á. Other than that - great job!

Y'know I find it kinda funny and cool that somebody makes rendition of songs in Norwegian especially of old songs. Like that's not something one would expect at least to me as a norwegian and I think that's nice. And you're an English man at that, if I'm not mistaken. Also seems to know icelandic, that's pretty cool too. Your pronunciation is good I think of Norwegian though it does sound kinda rugged though that may just be the way you sung it. That's at least something I noticed in your rendition of "ved stanford brua".
@mrjackwale5 ай бұрын
Thank you for the comment, I appreciate it! As English is my mother tongue, I've found that traditional Norwegian music, especially choral music, sounds quite different when it is sung as opposed to when it is spoken. I'm about a third Norwegian by blood and I've been studying the language on and off for about a year now, I value the encouragement. Norsken min må jobbes litt med, jeg er veldig interessert i norsk historie og kultur, og jeg håper dere likte musikken, takk for at dere så på!

Some liberties were definitely taken with the subtitles (the line about Thingmannalid is either VERY ver batim, or mistranslated), but otherwise this is actually better than the original!
