I have never or have seen anyone ever do that to a knife!? What are trying to prove? Use the knife as it is intended, I’m sure the blade on the $250 dollar would hold a better edge longer, than the other two! Which is truly what matters!

@@jwg7993 The steel is important but not at the cost of the lock. If this lock fails, and it does... There is no half stop like a slip joint... All that happens is blood and stitches at best, irreversible damage at worst. Imagine finding out the lock don't work when cutting banding... That's what happened to me, luckily the banding wasn't cut all the way through. If China can put out a durable lock for dirt cheap, American manufacturers can surely do it.

@@aaronlittle4261 oh boy, without a Budget range or size range my auto recommend would be COLD STEEL SRK a.co/d/00WiGMua I am not affiliated in any way with Amazon or Cold Steel but it's about as good a beater there is for the money. I could come up with better option with a budget and size range though.

Ouch! I used to sharpen my knives that sharp. After a stupid accident on my part were I cut the side of my thumb to the bone, I quit sharpening them to that point. BTW, I was wearing a cut glove which makes it so bad. Blade went through the glove and my side of my thumb like buttah. Stay safe!

I have tried Benchmade, I own 12 of them. They are my preferred brand but I decided to branch out and take a gamble... Should have just bought another Benchmade. They are completely American though, Tactile does shop videos in Texas showing off the process. They just need to get thier early runs sorted out, most of thier first and second runs have been a mess.
