We used the duck hunt Arkansas back in early 2000s and the guys we knew there had some monsters, so Arkansas has been a low key honey hole state for years, and is finally getting the recognition as a big buck state. Ive seen just as many if not more public land big boys come out of there as any other state known for big deer.

Doesn’t anyone shimmy up trees anymore. I’m 61 and I just shimmy up trees. It’s a good way to bow hunt as long as you have a couple sturdy limbs to stand on. Hunting with traditional Native American bows and arrows that you build with your own hands can also give you a sense of pride and accomplishment that store bought stuff won’t. It sure beats dealing with all the ropes and stuff.

My only issue was the fact that it is a lot to carry in the woods. I tried the saddle for the past three months. It’s just not something you need in the woods. It’s a lot to carry. It’s very wide, especially when you’re going through thicket. It’s very loud….. if you had a set up where you already had sticks hung and you could just come in and hang the saddle it would be nice, but it’s not the best for a run and gun person

It has some faults, the main being, I believe, are the cables. They seem to sag as you climb (not stiff enough). Try climbing with that in the dark? I don't think so.
