Why is bullying not criminal. The brain and your nervous system are physical parts of the body. It is dehumanising, humiliating and soul destroying to anyone going through it

Just came across this, raised clinical cyber security and £ concerns, equivalent of iIRS had no details for me, pay in deficit for over a yr, forced out, then they got their machievalian affiliates to intimidate me out of my flat, blocked from jobs, blocked from welfare support, all due diligence covered up. Evil is the right word. Having studied organisational psychology ironic yes they couldn't stand my integrity. This should be made hate crime, and an offense that renders £ and legal reprecussions for organisations. . Very good podcast. ❤

Everything you describe is accurate and I’ve dealt with numerous times when I was trying to get my externship hours for medical assistant and for respiratory therapy. They did this because I knew what I was doing and I was a fast learner so they didn’t want to see me succeed. I don’t know for some reason they thought if I got hired I was going to replace them, when really I was just there to get my hours so I could graduate and move onto my next goal. I don’t even know how these people got into that line of work with that kind of an attitude.

Relevant in 2024. Mahalo for creating this evergreen content and a legacy to help people defend themselves in at least being able to call bullying out in its insidious behavior.

I have seen so much workplace bullying that I am begining to think it should possibly be a criminal offense. It is not pleasant at all to be bullied. Workplace bullying it's very traumatizing, if the bullying is quite bad. I know it's hard to believe that its that bad. But until you experience it yourself you have no idea what it's like for the target. It's awful. I know how she might feel. I went through it too actually. I just went through bullying that was so bad that I am thinking that I may be experiencing depression. I hadn't been depressed in years and years. I have a little girl too who depends on me, so being bullied at a job is especially bad for not just me but also impacts her, financially. It definitely makes me really concerned about getting another job as I am like, will it happen again?

I believe US corporations reward psychopathic behavior because they simply see it as competitive behavior. Obviously it is a race to the bottom as empathy leaves the workplace and profits go to fewer and fewer individuals with these tendencies. They will literally destroy society.

Gary, I'm here in 2024, twelve years later, and you still can't go to an employer and tell them you're being bullied and expect any kind of support. They'll still just find a way to terminate you. It's not me this time. My coworker has been bullied for two years, and she got her ambush meeting this past Friday. I emailed our executive director and made it clear that the ONLY way this appears is one person who has been bullying and targeting another person and is now trying to get them fired. Now I'm in trouble. But, I'll never apologize for saying something and being a bystander who will risk their own comfort to do what is right. Wish me luck. I don't know what's going to happen.

15:52 I also wrote that emotional letter after being called “crazy” indirectly by my crazy midget supervisor. My girlfriend at the time encouraged me to send the letter to the supervisor and I am great full tat my higher angels convinced me NOT to send it and I broke up with the girlfriend for her bad advice. The agency I worked for ended up being closed down. 😅😂😂

After months of being piled on with tons of work after enormous turnover I got the ambush meeting and it is very stressful. I have had it on 2 different occasions including one where I found another job and quit ahead of time and the other which ended with the Friday afternoon termination meeting with NDA and severance. It sucks but I learned all of their tricks by having it happen to me and watching it happen to other people.

When I asked my union for assistance on numerous occasions I was bullied by the union president. My onsite rep was one of my bullies, the director of libraries, library manager etc. I was threatened by a librarian that 'we are going to get rid of you one way or another.' All this because of lies and gossip etc resulting in total character assassination. I was a county library employee and it was ten years of hell. What happened to me was what the British call mobbing. All these individuals from coworkers to higher ups had close relationships. The lying and character assassination that I experienced was bizarre. I finally quit before I was fired. In the first month of my employment there was a coworker who was particularly nasty to me and trash talking me to another employee. When I tried to have a conversation with her about this, this she said "you're right, I don't like you and I'll treat you any way I want". I spoke to the library manager about this and from there on it was all downhill. I took it to the union and the manager's supervisor (director of libraries) did my second review and down graded almost every item and told me I had a tendency to editorialize. My first review was excellent. I still suffer from the aftermath of that experience. I found this channel after I left and it helped me understand what had happened to me. But I still haven't gotten over it completely. There was no justice in this situation and it altered the course and quality of my retirement which started the day I left.

Record. You need proof and it could become admissible, even if it’s generally illegal, if they lie in court and you are then allowed to use the recording. Report them to HR and document everything, every time. Refuse to meet with them alone.

As a therapist told me in the aftermath of a successful workplace mobbing, "Look at the lengths they took to shut you up." * Twenty years ago, I was a 20+ year civilian employee in a law enforcement agency. I was mobbed to serve as an example to the other employees of what would happen to them if they disrespected the detective sergeant & a few detectives who were under investigation by the state attorneys office & agency for felony misconduct on the job. PS. While there was no justice on the job, pretty much everyone involved eventually ended their own careers by just being themselves to bullies that were bigger than they were.

There is mob bullying led by your supervisor the others join in to do to please her but they enjoy doing it as well......i am a senior citizen working and frankly it feels like an episode of juvenile delinquency in high school yet these are supposed grown up older women. Its tiring, debilitating at times and so uncalled for period.

I'm listening to this with tears in my eyes. My boss bullied a girl to the point she took her own life. I always wondered why work safe did no investigation into this case as she was bullied so bad. Now I know. My workplace had a policy in place which meant they saw it and walked out the door. I'm shattered with that one.

I believe that NPD is NOT the same personality disorder as Psychopathy (ASPD). And, that NPD is more common than Psychopathy. But I also believe that only about less than one percent of the adult population has npd. Some may disagree, but that is what I think based on experience and research that I looked at. I took Probability and Statistics in school and did well in it. Anyway, I do however believe that many workplace bullies do have a cluster b personality disorder. But that the most common personality disorders associated with workplace bullying are actually npd and bpd. But not all workplace bullying is due to a PD. Some people have high conflict personality types but don't have a disorder. Some workplace bullies can change when self reflection takes place, or there are consequences.
