I came from splee5556's video and oh my god I really didn't expect the skip to go so deep. Super impressive work dude. I'm sure as hell never gonna even think about trying it myself but just to see it's possible is nutty.

So if you have placed the Lordvessel I wonder if you can skip either the Lost Izalith Shortcut or the Demon Firesage boss… Edit: I see that you can use it to skip the shortcut. Still wondering about the boss skip though.

I was expecting a relatively low view count, considering this is super niche, but the fact that this video only has 600 views is criminal. Thhis discovery and execution of the process is insane. I cant imagine how long this took to pull off. Even if theres no real practical use, I respect the sheer dedication you put into pulling this off

Thanks a lot! This was really tough to pull off, but it was rewarding to pull off something in Dark Souls that , to my knowledge, hadn't been done before. There's just something about this game that makes sequence-breaking so fun.

How did you manage to wrong warp in? I haven't been able to replicate it, the only time smth of note happened was when I got teleported AOB into a grey-screen (no player visible either)

@SkeleMann For me, this was no different from other wrong warps. If you use a Homeward Bone or Darksign and hard-quit the game just as the next area starts to load in, it the game will wrong-warp you to the default starting location of the map you're in. For the Asylum, the default position is your starting cell. If you're having trouble with the timing, I recommend using a stopwatch.

Late reply, but unfortunately you can't reach Darkroot while in the Sens' skip deathcam. When you trigger deathcam, maps that haven't loaded yet simply won't. Once you walk out of the demon room below Andre while in deathcam, you'll fall infinitely (until you die) because the Darkroot map is unloaded.

@@pinballcat i recall in DS2 there was a convoluted way to glitch up stacks of items and it worked because of a map pre-loading range. is it possible to head into the darkroot garden just enough for it to trigger the name popup, then back out and sen skip? shouldn't the map still be loaded, just like how sen's funhouse is loaded when you user the skip?

Probably because it's inconsistent to get, and if you want to leave the Asylum with the Demon still alive, there's the much more reliable "quit out while it's in its dying animation" method. But I still like this method for "no boss kill" themed runs because you don't have almost-kill it.

Didn't you forget Sieglinde of Catarina? I think there's a way to get her and Siegmeyer to meet at Firelink, right? Just aggro all necessary NPCs (including Siegmeyer) before rescuing her at the Duke's Archives, and have both meet at Firelink? Or maybe progress both their quest lines enough to meet at Firelink, and then aggro them so they stay until all other NPCs are gathered?

Unfortunately I don't think it's possible to have Siegmeyer and Sieglinde together in Firelink. According to wiki's, the crystal golem trapping Sieglinde won't spawn in the Duke's Archives until after you rescue Siegmeyer in Blighttown... and he doesn't reach Blighttown until after appearing in (and leaving) Firelink. I think you have to chose one or the other.

This is just awesome! I have a question, if you pay for your sins (Oswald of Carim) do the NPCs remain at the Firelink Shrine? They come back to their places or they just end their quest?

Glad you liked it! If you pay Oswald they just end up wherever they would normally be, depending on where you are in their respective quests. It's a shame because I was hoping to get them all together peacefully too.

Funny story, new player and Ive only recently beaten the gargoyles. After I rang the bell, I climbed down the ladders to see a cloaked figure waiting to hug me. I said hell naw and homeward bone'd and now im stuck cursed in blight town. I enjoy this terrible experience.

Something that wasn't mentioned in the video: do not die after entering the depths, that causes Rhea's group to leave for the catacombs. It's not immediate, but after a few deaths they'll be gone, so just to be safe, get back to firelink ASAP after having rescued Laurentious. I actually did this challenge myself a few months ago.
