FM will always be a pc game purely because of modding abilities .skins, player pics, leagues, trophies..... console version is a garbage watered down version of the game.. ( i have both pc and console version)

March FM25 feels like it will be an October FM26 beta. While the odd thing added to console would be welcome i quite like the fact that i can start a game and get straight in. I haven't the time i used to have.

My opinion is wait until Feb. If Jan comes and goes and none of the promised screen shots and updates have been provided, then there probably won't be an FM25. What SEGASammy does at that point is anyones guess. I think SI probably has enough 'credit' with them to take the loss. SEGA seems pretty invested in making FM into the next big football franchise given FC has fallen off a bit, and they make plenty of money from other enterprises (such as pachinko machines) to cover the loss of FM25 failing to launch. However, what it does to the trust from the hardscore player base can already be seen. But I think SEGA isn't really looking at them moving forward. It knows it has to refresh the player base and bring in new customers. I think your right that the console might be the future, but Xbox and Playstation are having their own issues with player numbers and unit sales, so thats not entirely a slam dunk either. I think SI are going to need to find a way to increase interactivity between player and game, particularly during matches. There jsut isn't enough to do during games to keep console players occupied. Thats probably why shouts were taken out to be reworked, so then players have more 'hands on' thing to do during a match (yelling and arguing with the refs would be a good addition). But as I said, by Feb we will know 95% for sure whats going to happen.

Bit of an up and down episode there. FM24 is an odd one for me. In some ways it feels better, but in others worse. The ball does some weird things when bouncing off goal posts and players. I am also finding it hard to find good young players. Been a real slog, much more than I feel in previous editions.

Im doing a save as 1860 Munich, currently in Bundisliga 2. You've got more money and a bigger budget than them! So there is good money in Brazil really. I just had a pretty decent youth intake. Would be good ro see how your youth department is lookng.

Yeah, keepers seem a bit off in FM24. There is one really tight angle shot that they can't seem to keep out. The other team scores them every time

they should just release a database update for fm24 and work on turning fm25 into fm26 at this point...

Bit of a mess. Damned if they do, damned if they don't. I did watch the Unity presentation they did a day or two ago, and while I have zero expertise in any of this, it looked a bit dodgy. The SI guy that was there said, "the game world works perfectly, so we didn't want to redo 20 odd years of code, but instead just wanted to transfer it directly into Unity". Has he ever actually played the game??? Works perfectly??? Yeah but nah mate. It's been a buggy mess for years. Far from perfect. My humble opinion is once they started to try to transfer that hot mess into Unity it all went tits up. Now, they probably are trying to re-write 20 odd years of code as they have realised most of it is rubbish.

Too many things I want to see overhauled. Scraping the reputation system would be good. Getting rid of press confrences. Basically anything that has been in the game for over 10 years, as it is all out of date.

If you want your wing backs to run you need to put them on attack, not support mate. 👌Oh and set up overlap in the instructions.

Looks bad to me. To hide away all gameplay means to me it must be awful. Till l see march engine running.. See pc version ie not dumbed down...not buying it. I dont trust them at all. They are jiding game away..feels like it going to be a dissaster.

if you can get good results against Argentian teams (and the other Brazilian teams) you should do quite well in the SA Champions League.

Hi GG. Good news (from my perspective anyway) is that PC system requirements for FM25 have gone up by a country mile from FM24. FM25 won't work on a 15 year old laptop. I think your right that it looks more like a console game, which makes sense as trying to do two different layouts for one game is a massive waste of time and resources, so obviously SI are looking to make a compromise in the UI to help save time in game development. Basically PC and console versions will look identical. This might mean your console version gets a bit more depth with gameplay options this year. 🤔

The Xbox store page is "advertising" Football Manager 2025 Console, the screenshots seem like the same ones from Steam though...

Well done GG. Made it into the big show. I don't think it will be CL money from memory, more Europa league. However, it is good money for the region and it will allow you to finance better scouts (on the PC version anyway 🤣), which in turn will let you dig out those wonderkids from the lower leagues. I am really suprised that no European clubs have started to take your better players. Maybe when your playing in the Libertadores as their scouts will be there. That's when the real money comes in. 🤔 Go for the sell-on fee, as you won't get a huge amount, but sell-ons can absolutely bank roll your club for years if they pay out.

Keep going GG. Only your 2nd year with the club. You will get more money next season and some things will start clicking. Maybe a new keeper is on the cards, you might have to import one for Argentina if the Brazilian ones aren't worth it.

if the board are telling you to play defensive, possession, or counter attacking you don't really need to follow that... yeah there'll be disappointed but as long as your at least meeting their expectations in the league they won't care about what style of football you have the team playing.

injuries are definitely ramped up in FM24, hopefully that's fixed for FM25...

(This comment applies for any league you choose to manage in FM) if you goto the League Overview screen > Information > and within Information tab over to rules, you can see the finishing positions for continental places; you can also see any and all rules here also, for example: with the Brazilian First Division you can see how many foreign players your allowed to have, and what Nations are treated as Non-Foreign (Brazil only has 3; Syria, Haiti, & Afghanistan)

Basically, you will need to two squads of 18 players. One for the league, one for the cups. Rotate, rotate, rotate. Good news is that Liberadores does pay quite a bit of money, right up there with European cup competitions.

Copa Sudamericana = UEFA Europa League Copa Libertadores = UEFA Champions League hope that's helpful.
