How did you cut the rock. What kind of saw you need

That is so awesome! I have a lot of larger stones that would be perfect for this. Thanks for sharing this.

I'm really having a brain fat here. What's the name of the machine he used to shape the ring?

I never knew I wanted to make a rock cup until now. Why wouldn’t a “we make things out of rocks” channel exist? Should have known. “I’m not retarded but I like rocks”

Excellent work, I am a stonemason and I also rebuild very old stone walls. I subscribe to your channel. Greetings from a stonemason, from Barcelona.

What is in your tumbler with the rocks? Pellets of some kind?

I love how you got all those beautiful stones from that homely rock. I do love rocks ♥️

I did that but the rain beats off the clearcoat overtime. Not a lot of time either, maybe a season.

This is awesome, I actually found myself doing the exact same thing before I found this video, except I have my polisher in a vice and I hold the rock during polishing. I like your method with the towel better, is the surface the towel is on wood or metal? I worry about throwing the rock if it gets too dry and risking it breaking

Awesome video! What’s the name of the spinning tool used at 2 min and 3 seconds?

Greetings. I need to get 1.4x1.4x.5 inch blocks in generally dark and also light colors to make custom basis for chess pieces. Can you suggest the equipment I would need to cut and polish them ourselves?

I was able to pick up an mk 101 commercial tile saw. What make this unit great is you can convert it to a lapidary saw. They use a pulley system. Mine is an older unit with a v belt pulley system, newer ones are serpentine belt. All you have to do is swap out the pulleys to slow the blade down if you want. The motor on mine is a 1 1/4hp that spins at 1725rpm. Driver pulley is three inches, blade pulley is 2 inches, making the blade spin at roughly 2500rpm. Swap the 2inch out with a three then it would be a 1 to 1 ratio, putting it in the ballpark of true lapidary blade speeds.

Do you sell these? Cant find the shop you mentioned in the channel - but id love a ring made from a rock from a meaningful hike if you do custom work: )

Try making these magnetic without the black piece on the back by heating the granite, this should grant the granite magnetic potential. This could be how the great pyramids were built. Just a theory.

Excellent way to completely ruin your stones. Minerals even more so. The only thing I can think of that would be worse, is putting two part epoxy resin on your stones and minerals. If you really like your collection or just that single simple little Stone............ DON'T LISTEN TO THIS KNUCKLEHEAD. If you're just a crafter looking for some cheap and fast ways for home decor and nothing else then go for it.
