Oh No, NO maple syrup? I like my French Toast swimming in Maple syrup from McFadden's in Lincoln, New Hampshire.

Interesting with the hot sauce and hollandaise. We do our french toast with the egg, heavy cream, sugar, salt, fresh ground nutmeg. Then onto the griddle. The eggs we will "baste" them or steam them on the griddle or in a skillet, add an ounce of water and then cover...they cook super fast, the whites harden before they turn brown/crisp, the yolks turn pink...they are so soft and white yet done outside with runny yolks. Finished with a heavy amount of butter and real authentic heated/warmed maple syrup. Hard to beat a good french toast meal with some browned bacon or sausage links/patties on the side.

What is the sauce? Is it a teriyaki-type? Or what do you recommend?

Why mess with a traditional dish? Not cool

Providing ingredients measurements in volume / cups etc is a lot annoying. Pizza making is akin to baking…exact measurements required, hence any descent pizza maker uses weight or bakers ratios (flour is 100% then all others are a % of the weight of flour used). Swipe left!

Cuban here. Wonderful❤❤ Now one little secret, once you finish the toasting after you remove them from the plancha put them on the serving plate and go ahead and SLOBBER BOTH SIDES OF THE BREAD with butter again, so they are drenched on the surface……Hmmmmm…. ¡¡¡ Coño que Rico !!! … ❤❤❤

Make your own mayo so you arent getting a ton of soybean oil in it. Its super unhealthy for you. I make everything from scratch and it tastes way better and healthier. Plus makes the food much more rewarding.

Mushrooms do not soak up water like a sponge or something. Do this test. Measure the weight of a handful of whole mushrooms using a scale. Now put the same mushrooms in a container and fill it with water to cover the mushrooms. Leave them soaking for 10 minutes. Now drain and wipe dry the mushrooms and weigh them again. There may be a slight increase in the weight but it is negligible and the change could be for other reasons such as some water remained in the gills. I wash my mushrooms thoroughly because I do not want to eat what you call "dirt" when it is actually horse manure.
