Im a smaller guy at around 5'8 but Im not actually small. Im stocky and 190lbs, made the mistake of getting one of those fancy lightweight new tech saddles and hate it. It pinches my jewels and cuts circulation to my legs. Also a pain to take off, I need to have it super tight Gonna invest in one of these soon. The extra padding and bulkier build seems more comfortable

I have had issues and they are VERY well documented. I use all of the brands. I know you are frustrated but this is more of a rant than it is showing and explaining what is going on. You then said "I hope this helps you." I think that some more information and demonstrations would be good. Please understand where I am coming from. I made a video very similar to this at one point. You wanna know what actually seemingly fixed my 562XP mark i? I believe the aftermarket muffler from Steadfast did it. My saw was in the shop for weeks and weeks, Husqvarna replaced the carb.... etc etc. It would still be intermittent from heat. You are going to have autoTune/Mtronic on your new STIHL saws as well. Computer Carbs are truly my favorite. Good luck!

I have on my Milwaukee rear handle the $37 16” Oregon 56 Drive Links, 3/8" Pitch, .050" Gauge, Low Vibration (27857) for mine. Amazon sells the kit, others did this as well in the comments. The 0.045 OEM pinches/ binds up more often. You can even size down to a 14” bar 0.050 chain as well. I only use my electric say for camping and pruning the larger branches with 6,8,12 batteries because they are 21700 cells vs the 18650.

Ive ran it extensively and believe me you want as little drag on that chain as possible the batteries over heat really fast in the summer with the 12 or 8 ah battery. Why do you want a bigger thicker chain? If anything just try a non safety chain. If concern is ripping the chain off ive only done it 3-4 times and I've had it ripped out of my hands on some sketchy cuts so...

@easyeddystrees if you can't find it ive not looked myself just experimented with factory but if you don't like the safety part grind them all off and dont touch the normal rakers but in the speedcut nano ive tried this and it has zero effect on cut speed. It does grab harder but the saw hates that. Maybe it's my usage style I'm aggressive with a saw. Still curious why you want a wider bigger chain on it?
@DeereX74822 күн бұрын
I would have made the back cut from the camera side of the tree with a bit more angle on it to make handling the saw bar-side up easier. Getting away from the tree would be much safer and a shorter path from the uphill side rather than having to run around behind it. Lotta firewood in that tree. As for the poison ivy, I'd have cut the ivy "trunk" the year before and let it dry a year. It's still capable of giving you a rash, but the chips are dryer when you cut the trunk in sections and you are less likely to get P.I. sap on you. I have to get shots if I get even a tiny spot of rash on me, I'm terribly sensitive to P.I. However I've been able to cut storm fallen trees with the vines and avoided the rash.

No inflamation reduced itching. 2nd night no more itching and limited redness. 3rd morning absolutely NO indication of any poison ivy. Normally i could have it like 2 weeks and be miserable. @easyeddystrees23 күн бұрын

@DeereX74822 күн бұрын
I make my angle cut first because I've found it less likely to close and bind the bar when you get well into the tree if it is leaning a little. I also agree it's easier to line up the horizontal cut with the angle than vice-versa. I also make my back cut at more of an angle than in the video. It's easier to see the kerf opening up as the tree begins to move.
