I learned "E"aster "B"unnies "G"et "D"runk "A"fter "E"aster in the 90s and I'll teach that until forever. Good vid, thanks. Was looking for ideas to teach a brand new, never even held a guitar player.

I’m turning my red starcaster into a straight Mexican strat . The only thing I’m keeping is a StarCaster body. Everything else is gonna be fender . the neck , bridge , tone knobs, toggle switch, pick ups, everything . and I’m gonna sell it as a Mexican fender strat or for probably a little bit more when I’m ready to sell it later on down the road. If nobody wants to buy it tough luck, but I’m not gonna be advertising it as a Star caster. I’m gonna be advertising it as a made in Mexico 🇲🇽 fender . 🤷🏿♂️🤷🏿♂️

Every time I play G chord my fingers keep on muting the strings because I have small hands I’m nine and I have a small guitar. G is the hardest cord to play

🐸💈i’ve been really impressed with a woman instructor but her hands are much smaller. Mine are more like yours. This method is revolutionary for me. She speaks to larger hands in videos but never this. And I cannot even find some of them in the Jay Arnold 7,488 guitar chord book. So simple .. Thanks. Is that a Canadian accent? … or Northern MN?

IMO the transition from G to Cadd9 sounds better than the transition from G to C

How much of a difference is the C add 9 coming out of the four finger G versus a standard c chord? I've been using the four finger G to the C and I've been doing okay it sounds pretty good But a perfect example is quick 2 strum of a c chord right to a two strum of a G chord And then a d and right back to G. But it has to change really quick But I wondered is there really a difference in tonality between the c and C add 9 if you do it that way? If you're wondering what I'm doing it's Hal Ketchum Small Town Saturday Night the introduction with the first Fret capo'd I'm finding those four finger one seemed to work really good and ring nice. But it does call for a c and not a Cadd9

Great tip. Just wanted to add that it might help to make sure your using some kind of strap locks as well. This way you wont have to worry about stepping on your cord and pulling it out, but you will also be a lot safer from having your strap slip off along with it and accidentally dropping your guitar.

but why not bar g not hard with practice you have the the c right below plus you can have major minor easily e is right before g 3 frets away and the em7 is even easier with just fretting 5 sting 2nd fret you also have major 7th transition easier your fingers are doing too much extra work its best to always practice scales you find that their are much easier ways to make chords while adding solos

Good video! I’m a beginner (4 months) on a twelve string guitar. I’m playing close to the frets on most chords but I still have to clamp down so hard that my thumb, wrist, arm and shoulder hurt all the way up to my neck. Part of my problem was hunching over to look at the frets, but I’ve also read that the weight of your arm and shoulder should be used to apply pressure on the strings. How so?

One more difference I noted: Look at the bottom edge of the neck. On the genuine "Blackie" the bottom edge is curved, while on the fake it's squared with just a slight rounding on the edges where the bottom edge meets the sides
