Hey there. So I’ve been paying guitar off and on for the better part of 30 years. I used to hold my pick with two fingers. Recently I decided to look for a few tips to clean up the sound while strumming. I watched a video on how to hold the pick properly. Now I’ve been practicing with the proper hold and am having some difficulty. Oddly I cannot hold the pick how I used to and play at all. Basically I am unable to play guitar with a pick now. It’s extremely frustrating to say the least. I have no problem picking individual strings. It’s the strumming where I’m struggling. So hard to understand after playing for so long & now I can’t strum with a pic lol. Have you heard anything like this before? Any further tips? My style of playing resembles Jack Johnson if that helps. Thanks, Ryan:)
