What's the interface from the PC to board? For example the Microchip's Smartfusion2 FPGA uses a "FlashPro" JTAG adapter and OpenOCD. To debug an elf file using a GDB client in SoftConsole, an fpserver is run (presumably for the jtag adapter), in addition to the OpenOCD server.

How can we boot an image on the target hardware directly from a windows 10 OS please?

Hi Pascal, thanks for asking! You can boot an PikeOS image directly from Windows via tftpboot (pjo2.github.io/tftpd64/). How you can do that in details is described in our platform manuals. If you like to learn more about it, please contact [email protected]

@maw88ify VirtualBox has many benefits but unlike PikeOS, VirtualBox is limited to Intel, is not certifiabe to highest levels of security, cannot handle hard real-time, and needs to run on top of another OS (no bare metal version).
