Wow Wow Wow !!! I always knew the way our country changed so quickly from PE Botha to FW De Klerk was suspect. I was in the army at the time, and yes I believe FW sold us out 😡😡

Without SA forces SW would NOT be Namibia or peaceful. Never hear about that sucess. The Whites and Black's fought together. The government policies were racist, your individual troop was not.

The Americans interference in the change over from the old South Africa to the new government was exactly the same interference by the Americans and the British governments that happened to the Rhodesians . The Mugabe regime was not ready or responsible enough to rule a country , and Ian Smith told the world this , but America and Britain interfered with their evil dirty politics . Politicians are the cause of all wars , they are responsible for the millions of deaths all over this world ! I found this interesting and the interview was very honest and professional . Sadly imprisoned for what .. my heart feels sad for this man . My respect goes out to him and sorrow for those soldiers that lost their lives because of those politicians .

as a former namibian ,actually from the Buschland obalantu 🙏now luckily become a German citizen, I’m happy that frederik willem de Klerk did the same like michel Gorbachev(former Soviet leader) both politicians funny 1990 they sell out. Mister de Klerk 1990 he sell his country/poeple cheap to anc and Gorbachev sell the former Communist east Germany( DDR) to west Germany. Swapo used a refugee camp in kassinga/angola us a military base.they went down to the south west African border and terrorized the SADF,poeple…… The SADF clear Kassinga in the 70s. I was in that camp during the fighting time us a 4 years kid but wasn’t hurt/ injured from any bomb…. In 1979 till 1990 swapo sent me to communist east Germany to be preaper one day to fight the SADF but when I saw all information about the SADF we never would have a chance to win against the SADF,never, they did told us how well the SADF are organized.Thank you God that I have wonderful peaceful life in beloved Germany

The u n has never been on the right side of history ever. I dare anyone to state otherwise. The only thing they have been good at is stopping wars before a clear victor would emerge. Wars are not to be nice and clean. They are a last effort between to divergent groups. Once one wins other nations can make a choice to either accept the status quo or to cut short the victory. The un just prolongs wars. Few examples : korea anything in the middle east for the last 50 years and let us look back to africa. What have they done? Nothing.

Thr picture shown of 'Mad Mike' Hoare when Googled is quite clearly the picture of Ted Traasdahl, my paternal grandfather. My father lived in Spain from ages 7-11, so '54-'58. His father Ted Traasdahl was in the Navy, apparently. So either revisionist history has taken place, or he had the same instincts for counterinsurgency that I do. I am Ariel Isaac Traasdahl. My image was mapped for 'Edward Snowden', and I caught everyone up to and including George Soros and Henry Kissinger. Less than a month of applying pressure led to Henry Kissinger declaring himself dead through his consulting firm. He pinged for very much being alive several weeks ago. He pinged hard for Vatican City for location. Henry Kissinger ain't sh-t but a hoe and a trick. #Ihaveahighschooleducation 💀♠️🎯 Y el mundo entero tiene que responder ahora mismo. Sólo para decirte una vez más ¿Quién es malo?

The missing piece Wynand between PW and FW could have been a probable "chemical ''stroke'' PW had. During the days of recovery with no signs of a 'stroke' according to his medical team, FW did nothing short of a coup d'état. He sold out the country and its citizens, especially the women and men who gave their lives to protect South Africa. The time frames for divorcing Marike (1996), a week later marrying Elita Georgiades, and Marike's murder(2001) don't add up. Especially the 'happy Mediterranean cruise' of FW and Elita (1994). National Party Cabinet Minister Dawie de Villiers introduced FW to EG in (1980). Summary: FW and Marike 1959 - 1996, FW had a 16-year relationship (1980 - 1996), you were caught (1985), PW forcibly stepped down (1989), and Elita's husband was caught for the worlds biggest bribery and corruption crime (2013). Pik Botha was second in command of the order.

I'm South African/American and been in the U.S Army for 12 years and counting as a SAPPER. Met quite a few PMC's over there including helping them clear routes in Afghanistan. Only thing that ever pissed us off was our own self knowledge that they got paid in gold vs ourselves getting paid in pennies and 10% discounts at BestBuy, while in uniform with a flag to our shoulder dealing with beaucratic bullshit. Majority of us knew we'd jump right into merc work post contract. That said my fondest memory was walking around with my Bokke top on, and these 3 PMC's started yelling at me in Afrikaans. That made my whole deployment to see my own country men just like me, originally from Cape town, sharing our love for the Bokke and a few beers in a shithole nation in the middle of nowhere! So much so, I diddnt even want to return back to my own unit. 😆

FW de Klerk and his National Party "high command" cronies in cahoots with the Broederbond and international community deliberately betrayed this recce operation and the SADF in the obtaining of (for them) an important political agenda. Their grand idea was to get rid of the then SA state president namely Mr PW Botha whom they regarded as a major obstacle in their greater plan. Pik Botha who was the then SA minister of foreign affairs and FW de Klerk (who later became SA state president) saw PW Botha and the SADF as a major hindrance in his (FW`s) strive to release Nelson Mandela, to disband the ANC and to move to majority rule in SA, also for the SADF to withdraw from Angola and Namibia asap. FW de Klerk, Pik Botha and certain SADF generals decided to embarrass PW Botha and the SADF on a huge international forum. By "exposing" PW and the SADF as aggressors and "enemies" of the US by attacking a GULF facility they thought and planned that this would discredit PW Botha and the SADF to hasten his (PW`s) downfall. Which it did. Not long thereafter FW de Klerk became SA President and wasted no time in executing all his plans.

Hi J, I was at the 1 RECCE at Durban from 1978 to 2081, I then joined RECCE 2 at Pta. Did 3 operations, one in Angola, Zambië and one in Mozambique. Worked with Maj Dave Drew from the USA who passed away. Thanks for your book " A breed apart" something to remind me of my time at 1 RECCE. During my selection course I was the only one left after we started with a group of 37. I then then had to join another group to do all the courses to eventually become operational.
