I actually got the rare unable to read dusc error when I was playing Wall-E. We literally had to buy a completely new copy of the game because my Wii would just refuse to recognize it.

Surprisingly I got the sound of death several times and my wii still works. I think whatever game you might be playing is pushing the Wii to its limit (for example the games that were making my wii crash were Lego Batman 1 and 2, Modern Warfare 3 and Black ops (rarely))

The sound of death isn't that rare. It always happend during playing a video game and suddenly the wii froze in. Think it has to do with the games itself. Definitely not normal on the homescreen 14:31

My 15 year old wii got the sound of death around 2020. Had all kinds of stuff on it. Still miss using it D: Last time i turned it on, it showed nothing for a good 20 seconds then i heard the SOD. I find it weird though because the 2nd to last time I had used it, it worked just fine (though that was 2015 sooooo).

Imo, “the Wii system memory has been damaged” is WAY scarier than “the Wii system memory has been corrupted”. Idek why, I think the word “damage” just scares me 😭

word association. tl;dr, damage usually means someone broke something. so even though it's just banners and files here, it sounds ultra permanent and like it's your fault. corruption is inevitable - it's virtual, a result of coding oversights or bitflips beyond your control. find a way to reset or overwrite the data, and everything can function again. after all, the corruption can't break your wii in half. but damage? it's used to refer to files here, but when you use it IRL it almost always means.. well, permanent damage. breaking, scratching, shattering, snapping. damage has a fault, intentional or not - maybe you snapped something in rage, scraped someone's car, left a disc where it could get scratched up, knocked over the wii and battered the case. damage can't be overwritten or undone, only covered up. and even though none of that is what happened here, your brain might still go "oh no it broken forever" when seeing the word.

In the wii menu, you can't play japanese channels, But in usb loader gx, you can play japanese channels as much as you want, Probably they might have bugs.

14:00 We get this sound all the time with our (unmodded) wii! (Yes, it still works lol) It happens on certain games for no reason and then we have to turn it off and restart, but then it's fine.
