@@kaasseyy1 ofc I always do runs with foods and see if it's possible to kill it in one rotation before using any pots. After that it's you and your luck with Crit and heavy atk

@@CptMatty31 since you play Xbow dagger, you should have a decent amount of mana regen so you can try spear as a third weapon. You can try the dagger/spear without transferring skills and see if the gameplay looks fun for you. But I suggest you level a third weapon and practice the class and not be in a rush to completely change to spear/dagger. With spear as a third weapon you can play 3 weapons combinations. Spear/Xbow with t2 crimson spear becomes very good and very smooth to play but it's not very optimal for the moment (t1). I did try dagger/crossbow back then and the gameplay was fast but it was too much management with detonation mark. I find that spear/dagger is the most fun while having lots of apm but less management and there's less rng in the damage so the damage is pretty constant in the long run. While Xbow dagger really depends on your luck with offhands. My take is for you to lvl up your spear and try spear/dagger. But you should take into account that this class is VERY mana hungry. Mana regen is necessary but don't forget about hp since you don't do damage if you're dead

@ thanks for the info. yeah I do like crossbow/dagger but it’s very hard to get it all lined up. Plus I do want a little more aoe with the spears. Crossbow/ dagger is mana hunger aswell tbf. What gear are you using for this build?

@@CptMatty31 Spear/Dagger does great damage in aoe with the fire javelin + umbral. For the build, imo you should just use the same build as your crossbow/Dagger. There's no reason to replace your gear at this point. As you can see in my videos. I do play LOTS of weapons and I have very decent score with it and this is with me using the exact same build everytime. The only difference is the stats' point repartition. My alt used to be sns/gs then swapped to sns/spear. I never changed the build(2 general+ 2 harvester), i use the same and it works the same in dungeon. SInce i have spear sns and gs ( 3 weapons), I tried out gs/Spear (this video) using the exact same gear and you can see that I do very good damage while only having 3K6 gs which is pretty low at this point. For my main character (2 harvester + 2 wolf + bellandir), i have even more weapons (sns, dagger, bow, xbow, wand, spear) and when im doing the weapons combinations sns/Spear or dagger/spear or xbow/Spear or bow/xbow or sns/Dagger, ... Everytime I use the same gear even tho it's not optimized but it works because I already invested on the gear, there's no need to create new gear and spend lucent on gear that will change anyway. If you already have a damage build for crossbow/Dagger, you can just use the same gear and you'll do just fine. You just need to learn the rotations and you'll still have fun

@@locmai Understandable, I'm having less fun doing gates on my sns/spear since it's the class I'm playing all the time. But since I own lots of weapons, it brings me quite a lot of fun to try out these different weapon combinations that I only get to play in gates. Dimensional Trials' high tier videos are atm the content I'm having the most fun recording since it's pretty challenging compared to gates.

My build is pretty crappy since it's my alt but it's doing nice damage. Skill build can pretty much change everytime in gates so it's not really relevant. @@MrPartymusci1 being quick with rotation is a big factor since this boss in particular gives a huge damage buff for 10s that practically double your damage. Food buff/remedy/stellarite help a lot. The foods im using is 3% atk speed/ 50 skill boost damage + 7 bonus damage

Well, if you do enough damage you dont really need any aggro skills except for shield strike that has natural aggro once you use it. Since you're new to the class, you can remove the spec point from cleaving roar (blue roar) and use the classic provoking roar to keep aggro and use the 5 points you have left to increase even more the aggro generated from shield strike. The other party members you see in the video are all top gate of infinity player in their own classes so they do a lot of damage but I never lose aggro during the fight. Since you're new to tank you can play with provoking roar and master the skills rotation for now. Once you're familiar enough with the rotation you can try changing back to the blue roar and see if you lose aggro or not.

I have 3 different skill setup, one is for aoe in dungeon, one is single target for boss in dungeons and one is for gate of infinity. You can watch my latest video for the rotation in dungeons and all my previous videos for the gate of infinity's skill rotation. The rotation is always the same. The reason why i'm doing so much damage is that I fish for runs where I crit/heavy atk and all that stuff with remedy and food buff.

@@leonardo231100 If you've seen my previous sns/spear you can see that I sometimes do the gate's score with a different character playing SnS/spear. There's my main (tensuda) having a fully bonus damage set and my alt (betamas) with a field general more heavy atk oriented and being undergeared compared to the main. But the damage output is the same, they do almost the same damage, the only difference I'd say, being the skills' cool down that can make the difference (1 or 2s at most). Try to get at least 60 dex to get as much Crit as possible. The only Crit rate I have is from weapons and the dexterity.

Not really since it's not a class I play outside of gates and I hate playing with brutal fury in dungeons so i'd rather play with the ignite one. Also note that this fast kill was due to the huge damage buff that this gate's mechanic provides and also lots of luck with crits/heavy atk

Yeah what's important in gate is that you need lots of retries to get a run where you do all your crit/ heavy atk so gear doesnt really matter. The gear i'm using is the one I used from my days as a sns/dagger and i havent changed it ever since. So it's not as optimized as it could be but it's not bad either while being pretty cheap (except for bellandir ring)

@@Ledynas this is right I'm a SNS fanatic and I want to test out all the weapon combination possible for sns. The only combination I haven't done yet is SNS/staff but staff doesn't feel like it will bring me anything if I ever build it. For the gear I'm using, as you can see, it's the same for every single weapon combination I use. I don't need and don't want to change gear since it gives me lots of hp and lots of damage. Since I have all the weapons I can pretty much test out the weapons combinations except for staff, thus the reason as to why you can see so much videos of different Weapon combinations all the time. SnS/GS used to be my main class and SNS/dagger used to be the main class of my alt. SnS/dagger doesn't feel as good anymore ever since spear came out and I don't find the use of playing it anymore since SNS/spear does it but better. SnS/GS is still good but I can't really come back to SNS/GS when I know that aoe build for spear is so much funnier to play. SnS/Xbow was a class I played a little before spear came out. It does a crazy amount of damage but that is only if you can get bow in your party to keep resetting your cds. SnS/bow is a class I built recently only for the purpose of supporting my teammates ( having 2 bow teammates + me on SNS/bow for the 3rd one to get as much reset as possible), so you won't see me running sns/bow in gate but mostly in dungeons or trials. Dagger and spear are weapons that I know how to play so I can perform just fine with it. I'm pretty much a jack of all trades but I'm mainly playing SnS/spear most of the time.

I am much worse when it comes to dealing damage though, surely nowhere near your level here xD I really do like the idea of a bow for resets just like you said. I was thinking about staff because it offers some survivability and CC as well and i do play a bit of PvP, so that's important to me. This damage though? Man, some randoms with 4200 gs archweapons deal less XD I recently dropped the spear so i think i will try that first but xbow and daggers in your hands here look amazing. Now i have to make it as well and try it out xD

@@Ledynas well I'm not doing any pvp in this game so my build is fully PvE. Not sure what's your current class. But if you're a tank and want to have a fun in PvE, I'd recommend you to try SnS/spear. SnS/spear in PvE is pretty easy to build and you can get the highest damage for SnS/spear pretty early on without investing too much (try getting an atk speed gauntlet and 2 harvester for the Crit damage) having 2 wolf or 2 field general is great for extra damage but since t2 gear is coming out soon, there's no need to change all your equipment but only the most important one since they're pretty cheap and you only need trait like atk speed or hp (you don't need tons of hp for the pve gear unless you want to challenge high tier trials runes) and no need to invest on evasion or endurance on PvE gear since you already have a dedicated pvp build. SnS/dagger is good but SnS/spear does it better. SnS/Xbow is good but it requires more apm and management to play the class or you won't do any damage if not fast enough, it's like playing Xbow dagger that's very punishing if you mess up your skills during the detonation mark. So SnS/spear is the easiest while being the most fun weapon combination out of all the class I've tried. Dagger/Spear is fun to play but it requires an enormous amount of investment on mana gear and requires quites some apm to play the class. So spear/SnS is the better option since you just dropped the spear. Spear consumes a lot of mana but since you're the one tanking you get mana back when blocking attacks. You can watch the video of me running tier 1 and 2 stars dungeon to see how I deal with them or even watch the videos where I run dimensional trials to see how I manage my skills and rotation. Also take a look at my questlog, clone it and change the gear to adapt to yours to see how much stats you'll get compared to mine. Just for information my main has better gear than my alt but my alt does as much damage than my main even with the blue ring and field general all that with 3k5 GS even tho my main has 4k GS. Gs doesn't really matter once you get the gist of the class and the right piece of equipment that makes the difference

@@EauClaireSkater hi there, the single target potentiel for Sns/spear is huge and does as much damage as SNS/GS while needing less rng since you don't need to heavy atk guillotines. The burst is more consistant and the gameplay is more fun. The AoE build has the highest damage out of all the classes out there with the SNS passive. For the rotation and skillset, this is the one I'm using only for gate of infinity since it requires lots of damage in a short time, you can't really play the ignite build if you want to do fast run in gates. PvE wise / Dungeons - I run other builds > AoE and single target build dedicated to dungeons I'm mostly playing ignite build in dungeons since you don't need to burst, and the damage is more consistant in the long run you don't need to manage your burst stack you can just do the damage when your skills are off cooldown and the damage are pretty much the same. This is only true in a long fight. But for short fight like gate you need brutal fury that requires 5 stacks burst to do it 3 times, that's the highest amount of damage you can deal in one rotation but I find it to be not very consistant in dungeon since you need to manage the stack to not mess up the rotation. For the suggestion,you can watch my previous video where I run t1 and 2 stars with my SNS/spear doing karnix and carmin island, that build is still valid even tho I changed it a bit ever since but you can check my questlog for the updated version of the skill sets.

The reason I'm doing the record and score on my alt is because it can do the same amount of damage hence the same score as my main in gate of infinity even tho their build is different. But my main has more trait and at 4k GS with more defensive trait and can tank higher tier content better. Tldr: you don't need 9k GS to deal high damage with SNS/spear, you just need proper rotation and a proper build (no shock commander bs) and the damage is pretty much capped with SNS/spear for now

@@AlphaGreyy there's no such thing as mana problem if you're the one tanking the boss with the SNS mana passive. Try blocking even the regular pattern to get mana back, pattern that does damage if not blocked (Kertaki fire balls, turka axe slam, ...) or just invest in mana regen and that'll fix it. The character you see in the video is undergeared compared to my main and is missing mana traits but I never had problems with mana if you know what you're doing

Yes you can, you only need to adapt the stats to get 60 strength or 70 strength if you have bellandir ring and you can reach 18k 19k hp just fine, the only reason why I don't have these hp on this character is that this is not my main character so I don't want invest on trait hp. But my main currently has 19k hp although the build is slightly different. But you can do any high tier content just fine and tank just fine that is with this hp pool. For dungeons t1 and 2 stars you can tank just fine with 13k hp, but for high tier trials you'll need more hp trait. You can check on my questlog there are different builds, the one using wolf set (main) the one using field general (alt). Just use whatever you have that's already invested and see how much hp you can get by adapting the stats

@@高橋-p3w if you're doing pvp and want to invest on a pve gear that does damage and tank for cheap, then you can just replace and buy the most important gears and put some important traits that are relevant for PvE (hp trait, atk speed). There's no need for pvp trait (endurance, evasion,...) since you have a pvp gear ready for that kind of content. Investing on a pve gear might be a good idea since it's cheaper now. Buff duration is good but no really needed with all the bow reset in dungeon, skill boost is good but no needed and you should have them pretty much maxed at this point (my alt has less base damage and skill boost damage than my main but does the same amount of damage). Hp, atk speed and a good rotation is all you need for pve at this moment. You can check my questlog for more information for builds and skills that I use in PvE since I only do that, or check my video of me running t1/2 stars dungeon or me tanking t15 and T16 trials. Rotation and proper skillset for trashing mobs/killing boss matter if you want to optimize your pve content and have more fun.

My main class is sns/spear on my 2 characters, the one you see in the video is undergeared (3K5 gs : Betamas) compared to my now main character ( 4k gs : TenSuda), one has wolf set + bellandir + full damage trait and this one has 2 field general + blue ring. But as you can see the damage is nuts and i can tell you that the damage output of my 2 characters is about the same, this one (betamas) having slightly more damage since it has field general. But my main character has better defensive stats than this one thanks to the build (higher hp). I dont think Nirma will ruin the build since I tested with 2 different builds, one that is more heavy atk based and the other one more bonus damage based, they're about the same in the damage output. Don't forget that the spear is doing the damage, not the SNS. But the sns damage passive is applied to the weapon's skill so having nirma wont change the damage, it will only change your auto atk damage and shield strike but that's about it. The big difference is your current gear and since you're playing pvp with nirma I believe, you won't have a lot of HP with this build. Karnix gives a lot of HP and strength so it's easier to get more hp and having it easier in endgame pve content that requires more tankiness. But damage wise, it's about the same, you just have to adapt your stats. If you already have a wolf set invested you can use it, same for field general. But try to have a gauntlet that has atk speed because atk speed really matters for spear.

@@yalloune3138 part of it is you get 12s dmg buff at the start of the fight from the "adventurer" npc-mate and they also pop an attack remedy, the rest is probably good rng

@@elitemiro my stats always changes depending on the content, if I need to one phase or 2 phases. Wisdom gives you cdr and max damage but to benefit from max damage you need to Crit, but it's good to put points in wisdom for more cdr in general. I like to spread my stats but cap my dexterity to get at least 50 str and dex 60 and the rest I put whatever , you can put more point in strength if you want but you're going to 2 phase you'll need to get your cds faster so wisdom is needed, this is optimisation but not needed if you just want to gate , but you really want to min max the damage and gain 0,5s then that's how I do it

Probably the 2nd, brutal incision is a skill that says it increases momentarily Crit damage but I never understood how it adds up, never found some posts about it

@@T13mess the apm for this class goes crazy, even I lost myself in the skills in actual runs that matter, pretty hard to stay consistent without training. Don't worry just practice and it will come after some times. This is pretty confusing since I weave in lots of skills in between to maintain and maximizing the buffs/damage

Poison infusion > heavy atk buff > umbral > dash > 1 cleaving moonlight > 2 culling arc > 1 cleaving Moonlight > stun > phoenix > stigma > poison infusion reactivation> triple brutal fury > 1 cleaving Moonlight > slash > brutal incision > 1 cleaving Moonlight > 2 culling arc > prayers so the boss dies and that you didn't mess up the skill order

I never did the swap since it costs lucent but yeah it works since in the end, godrun in gate of infinity is a run where you luck all your heavy attack and crit, so it doesnt really matter. But for the dungeon it also doesnt really change anything I guess, the damage will converge and probably be the same. I just used whatever I had that's already invested.

@AnhTuan-atv ahh okay that's makes sense. Yeah I'm only like 3700 combat power but did fall shock destroy in like 23.2 seconds and got this one done in 21 sec just messing around. That's what I figured tho. Obviously more heavy attacks is more damage but rng while bonus is consistent and spear does have a lot of hits for it to take advantage of. Got me itching to push my time even tho I'm number 1 on my server lol

@AnhTuan-atv also I plan to use two piece phantom(head and gloves) with resistance tunic for pvp to get that sweat ranged and magic eva since you can stack hit easily on spear but also don't need a lot of hit since Melee eva meh

@@Natsooki0912 well it doesn't really change anything for either class since it's a boss that has to phase if you're not bursting fast enough to kill him, unless you're a gs player that can kill him fast enough for him to do his charging animation and not phasing thus allowing you to kill it but even so it's only for class with bursts that can kill the boss in one rotation. Dagger/Spear requires time to burst and spear/Sns has good burst but it cannot oneshot the golem in one phase. But 2nd phase 23 24 25 is pretty much the same since it dies during the rotation.

@@AnhTuan-atv i legit analyzed it in slowmotion and these numbers are insanely high. you hit 6k with brutal fury and phoenix barrage, you hit 20k crit and then 19k crit after using rising slash and then fatal stigma popped for 26k. i legit don't know how these numbers get so high. I have all lv5 skills, more base damage than you and I have never seen crits this high on this boss with food, buffs and everything else.

For dungeons, i'd assume that poison is better since you'll most likely reset the thundercloud stack with brutal incision before even using stigma. But i'm no expert in dagger/spear except for gates since spear/dagger is a weapon combination I only play in gates, my main class is sns/spear

Syleus jail + battle pass mastery food (30%) + green pie food (50% mastery + 10% efficiency) + event food (50% mastery + 15% effiency) a whole 130% buff to your mastery but it's only worth to use foods if you're the only farming in syleus

@@walls7922 My character is main sns/spear, since i play sns, i can group and push just fine monsters, so i can farm syleus pretty much by myself and much more efficient. I'm mostly farming abomination with a specific path, but even when speedfarming like this, with all the foods that reduce the points consumption by a lot and takes me a lot of time but it gives way too much mastery points compared to just hop in syleus and wasting points without any mastery food

Always use mastery book and mastery food buff when doing open world dg, im at level 15 spear and its not min maxed, just stored alot of resistance book though. The battle pass for xmas helped alot with 400 dews.

@@kuraeiya6415 I got a tips from a friend who's playing gs/dagger, dual stacking stigma does crazy damage when it offhands+ Crit + heavy atk. Sadly that's just me trying stuff with dagger which is not my main weapon so my skills aren't max level so I won't be able to keep up with other shadowdancer's speedrunner once they figure out the burst combo.
