Previous BMW X3 model engines have defective design that leads to permanent engine failure.I would not rely even on newer BMWs past the warranty period. In the past customers have faced engine issues ranging from timing belt to fuel pump low pressure resulting to engine blow outs. BMW dealers are quoting anything in the range of 15k to 20 k for engine replacement with no major recalls on this issue. There is also a class action suite for these defective engines for which BMW was asked try the courts to compensate the affected customers. Absolutely a lemon of a brand !

Had to laugh when he made the comments about the S580 exhaust not having a burble to it. You can tell he rented the car for a day and never really drove it. Stick the 580 in S, or even better in S+ mode and it most definitely does have a burble. Good Lord, kid the thing has a 500 HP V8 and a tuned exhaust, or course it sounds good.

The base model 3 for 2024 is a single motor long range trim that gets 363 miles of range, the reviewer is wrong! The standard range model 3 that he mentioned that get 272 miles range per charge is discontinued for 2023!

Nice vid. but the door opening is the button is for opening the door and the manual lever in the frontdoors is for EMERGENCY ONLY and the car will let you know when you open the front door with the lever, and the emergency door handle is hidden with in the doos pockets in the rear, when I watched the vid sometime's thorugh the vid is like you haven't study the car before the making, I'm not want to be mean it's just my opinion. Wow. Man. You did an excellent job sharing both true strengths and few weaknesses this beautiful BMW X3 XDrive30i represents. We test drove a 2024 X3 just like this package over the weekend and love it! BMW pretty much wins in this segment with the X3 being at the top of the class with overall reliability and performance that people want more and more these days!

I have that year, trim and color - I've had it for one year and 15k miles: My thoughts on the review for those wondering about these as they get cheap with the facelift on the lot or as used are below. I agree on 95% of everything here - great review in general IMO. You have a new subscriber (not even sure why youtube is trying to sell me on a car I have had but im sure it was something I searched) Agree on almost all of your points. One item missed IMO that is huge and most people don't know it or why it's a thing. That 2.5 has two sets of fuel injectors. So anyone getting this to keep it. It avoids losing power and mpg at higher mileage by flowing fuel over the intake valves like older engines. So.. the cleaning of MPI and the power/mpg of GDI. That and rear seat legroom/cargo was the final selling point for me Best leg room for a compact SUV in 24. The slow comment: if you don't want to be that slow; get the FWD if you don't live where Ice is a major issue. Mine clocks 60 about a second faster and just a tick over 16 seconds in the 1/4 - nearly a second faster than the AWD version. That and you don't have to worry about buying 4 tires early if you blow one after they wear a bit. I drove both; you can tell the difference between them. I am glad mine doesn't have a sunroof - hail falls way to often where I am at - had a friend get a car totalled by the big sunroof going during a storm and it flooded out. On then handling.. vs a sports car.. yeah - can't match. Relative to other compact SUVs (I test drove almost all) it does really well. That is even with the CRRrrAAAppp stock tires. That is one thing I am solving soon. I hate the tires hyundai put on the 17 inch rim. I also went from a Ford Ranger that handled like a poorly designed boat to this.. so its nearly sports car live vs. that thing in a turn. I agree on the trims. Limited is a bit silly for the tech on price. I went SEL because I really wanted the heated seats, the kids like the back vents, and the XM radio was a weird item missing from the SE. I might make use of the roof racks not found on the SE but so far they are just up there doing nothing. I didn't go conv pack because I didn't want the larger rims/smaller tires that spoil the handling a bit. I went for the 17s and the actual buttons vs all touch screen on the bigger one (that and the wireless android auto vs needing to plug in with the larger screen) Right at the one year mark I did have to go back for a warranty repair. The horns are in the dumbest location you could put an electronic bit. They are under the lights near the bottom of the bumper. So.. as it rains here a lot.. both of mine shorted out. To get them; the entire front bumper has to come off. You can see them thru the wheel liner - but I could not reach the connectors. I've seen that being an issue on forums, etc. The service advisor said they had seen it a few times BUT they had not had any come back. Maybe the replacements are a bit more water proof. Anyone wondering how the headlights are being low; they work great IMO and are so much better than fog than normal headlights with "fog lights" Note in general for the NX4. If you get 2022 - it looks exactly the same with a few tweaks to options but - the 22 has a TSB for the GDI fuel injector and under warranty they only replace the one that fails. So that could get annoying. TSB only shows it as an issue for that year and not the 23+.

The Germans refer to this as the seven one eight. Love this car. Have it in white with almost similar options. To many people are bent out of shape over the 4 vs. 6 cylinder sound. I like both. I think this model handles better etc than the set up on the 6 cylinder. Mine is the manual. Love using a manual in this car … adds to the sports car experience.

good review but disagree about the extra chrome (old fashioned), we have a year old onyx black, it looks lush, whilst the car as a whole looks smart still, not like the gimmiky new alternatives out there. I think the integration of controls into the not oversized display has been done really well. It drives superb. And I don't think it is noisy on the freeways, infact its the smoothest quietist car I've ever owned.

That model and the GS 350, are two very well built vehicles. Legendary reliability. I bought a 2015 GS 350 with 187k miles and it still drives like a new car. Simply amazing machine. It looks like a $30k car, but way more affordable than that. I paid $13k for my GS 350. A fraction of what it was worth brand new. I would never buy it new though. I just can't afford it.

You are missing the point of a jeep grand Cherokee 4xe. I drive my overland off road on forest roads in BC there is no way a bmw could handle! Also the adaptive air suspension is excellent and smooth. It can also raise or lower the ride hight. If you plan on even mild off roading I would recommend it but might want to get extended warranty.

Does anyone have some feedback about the transmission issue? Im planning to get this vehicle next week, and got worried about it.
@brents39069 күн бұрын
I’m not sure if you picked it up yet but we just got a 2025 and I don’t notice any jitters. It now has a mild hybrid which I’m wondering if that’s helped. I do notice the roughness of the auto stop start. It doesn’t cause any driving issues it’s just sometimes I can feel it turned itself back on. I rarely notice the “pause” that is on a lot of reviews. If you test drove the car and didn’t notice all of this then I wouldn’t worry. I wonder if it’s one of those things you only notice about it if you’re told. My wife knew nothing of this car before we started test driving cars. She’s never mentioned jitteriness, pauses, etc. Also, our salesman explained to put it in park you just turn off the car and that’s how it’s designed, it’s been straightforward. You can set the car to automatically apply the parking brake or not apply the brake when turning it off. We have it set so we just turn it off to “park” and we hit the parking brake button when we’re on an incline or parking it in public.

Really good review. I've got a Veloce and it's ridiculously good fun to drive. When the turbo kicks in it feels like a rocket. Agree on internal tech; it's not as good as a BMW or Audi, but you don't buy an Alfa for the tech, it's for the engine, look and driving experience, and they all smash the competitors. Best car I've driven. The QV is fantastic too but it's for a race track, you must be nuts driving that in full sports mode.
