as a new guy i love assault and automatic rifleman for germany since you get the g43 which is amazing and the stg44 which is the best weapon in the game. it might be inferior at range to some stuff but the other stuff is significantly worse in close combat

the results for the relay are very impressive but I don't think they should be directly compared to one another even if they appear to be similar. the main point of the backpack is not to become immortal but to help prevent accruing minor chip damage from both bugs and bots-- in order to save your stims for more dire situations.

This is why i started always playing squad leader. Firstly because im tired of other officers not building garrisons but also i get sick of teams just hitting a point head on over and over again nobody flanks. I know you dont want too much flanking but for god sake its mad how many games everybody just goes from point to point like the games dont have enough time to take 15 minutes to get a good flank and turn the tide of the game.

It is sad, that you should be scared to share this and beg the devs not to take away your newfound toy. Feels like a toxic relationship where the partner hates it that you are happy.

the problem with the shield generator is that it needs you to stay still in one spot to be of any use. And that is a terrible idea on the higher difficulties. You will just end up facing patrol after patrol and their reinforcements on top of that. This problem is made much worse with the recent patrol changes.

The backpack is objectively better because it's portable and recharges itself. This take is so hilariously bad.

Just started playing this game this weekend, I didn't realise it had so much depth until I played it. I also heard the trope from friends that it's just a game where you run and die repeatedly, but now having played it myself that is obviously such a superficial and ignorant take. I'm loving the passion for teamwork and coordination, so far people have been very helpful to me over VoIP. I've jumped onto Support, Recon and Armor positions and been promptly yelled at for not doing my job, but once I told people I'm new they were quite happy to chill out and teach me. It's really satisfying to be thanked for carrying out an order or providing important intel (it almost makes me think that the only way to rank up should be via people commending you, like, you know, how it works in real life) In my limited experience, however, I do think you glossed over the Recon squad. It was very unintuitive to me that Recon is supposed to literally venture deep into enemy territory. While yes I was asked once to harass their artillery, I was taught to gather intel on enemy vehicles and infantry, take out garrisons, build garrisons from supply drops in enemy territory, take out resource nodes, and work with my sniper. I find it to be a very interesting role despite rarely engaging in combat. I suspect it is a better introduction to being an officer vs having the responsibility over a 6-man squad with the stress of fighting on the frontline.

I quit the game after the second level, not only is hard, is super boring to start all over again and again and again, it wasn’t even funny and hard like sekiro, this was really boring

Backpack is much better. It's mobile. Charged by 1 or 2 hulks? A tank somewhere? Relay bubble is useless now. It's much tankier, but you cannot relocate it and even then once it's popped well now you're done. They need to give it idk like 5x the HP.

How do you fix the crashes

It would be great if it had more then the same 2 maps

I pick automati rifle when I start see if I can get the support cause Im Leveling that up to rhe 8th level (cause flame thrower is OP in open ground ). you just have to remember Rifle is single shot and rires the slowest but it hits like a truck when you do hit someone. but if your reflxes aren't the greatest Ifd go for the guns that toss bullets fast. when you do have gret reflexes that the one shot rifle is for you. I thnk you are wrong with the medic. there is a satisfaction of saving someone. effectly giving them an extra life without respawning. That's valuble

I’m late they just put the game on sale. I just beat the game for the first time, not the final end but the first time at the citadel. I didn’t find the game to be all that hard tho I did have some amazing power ups and parasites for that run.

Anybody that says the grease gun is a mediocre weapon, is a mediocre player. grease gun is lowkey one of the best guns in the game.

This is a case of comparing a machete to a kitchen knife. They are both excellent at what they were designed to do, but you'll have a bad time if you try to use the wrong one for the job. The Shield Generator Backpack is designed to protect you from strays while you're playing a hit & run style. It's not designed to protect you from direct rocket strikes or sustained fire. If you attempt to stand and fight it'll fail quickly, so treat it like soft cover and keep moving. The Shield Generator Relay is designed to protect you from sustained fire when you have to stand and fight. If you try to use it in the middle of nowhere, you will find yourself surrounded or in the middle of an endless Bot Drop scenario. Drop it on your objective, get the job done, and get out of there.

We are finding that squad leads are hand down the most important thing to plauy in the game. You dont have to good, I suck at it BUT they keep that squad from getting kicked from the game without him. In a game where they loves to LOCK groups with even 1 or 2 people strong in it. then having a squad lead is the moist integra thing in the game. Many times I see idiot mommy boys people make a squad and leave it in under 5 minuets, tossing the whole team under the bus. Doesnt matter if he ever speaks a language you have 0 idea hot to speak. Just being there is enougt. I have had made squads ( and I suck at killing folk.) But the other 5 guys in my squad sometimes carrys the whole damn game just because I placed and OP, so they dont have to run for 5 min to get back to the action.

Unpopular opinion: the Pain Elemental has WAY too much health for a HEAVY demon. His health and damage makes him a borderline SUPER HEAVY class demon Edit: also another really EASY way to kill Pinkies is dashing into them with the Chaingun Shield Mod, i kills them almost instantly because their armor is insanely weak against it

Ur premise is off tho. U assume that u just stand in front of enemies. If u use covers, of which there is plenty, the backpack provides sufficient protection. The shield dome has higher cooldown then the rechargetime of a backpack. And yes you could use 3 ppl on paper but the highes downside shines through here: it’s stationary, you can’t reposition easily and you can’t adapt to situations as easily. I think it has its place for small maps for example, but overall the backpack provides more adaptability and mobility which is way more worth in this game than protection stat stick.
