What's the maximum speed allowed/recommended on the highway with this pannier kit?
@MoskoMoto2 күн бұрын
BMW recommends sticking below 80 MPH with panniers and we advise staying within all legal speed limits. 😉 There are a lot of variables to this question and there isn't a test we're aware of that can measure this due to the variables. However, there are riders on the autobahn who are likely riding over the recommended speed limit. Structurally the bags are designed to take a beating and the inner stiffeners help the panniers hold their shape.

If you already have Backcountry Panniers and want to retrofit to the Euromounts we have them available now. If you want the Backcountry Panniers with the Euromounts already installed we're expecting them this Fall. Unfortunately, that's as specific as we can be at the moment.

Now I ordered the Basilisk pants in size 32 tall and I have to say, this is the pants I’ve been waiting for. I’m 187cm tall, 82kg and have a hip circumference of 94 cm. I wear the pants with my POD K8 braces in XL and my Leatt 5.0 protector pants. I just have to remove the knee protection from the pants and it fits perfectly with my braces. As well, there is enough room around the hips to put a second layer inside the pants for cold weather. Made of very decent materials with reinforcements on the right places. Vents and pockets on the right place. 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

The Backcountry 40L can work with the Reckless 80L but we advise using separate straps to secure it. The Backcountry 40L duffle will overhang the leg bags making it difficult to get into them.

The Reckless 80L fits on the new R1300GS without any issues. From the photos we've seen of customers' setups, you shouldn't need a second heat shield but it will depend on the angle of the leg bags you select.

Couple of quick questions: 1. Any thought given to changing the snap lock connections front and rear so that the bag can be installed either way? (beaver tail opening facing you) 2. Having the rear straps adjustable by cinching the straps with adjustable snap locks (SJ Buckles) instead of having velcro along the whole length of the strap?
@MoskoMoto12 күн бұрын
We've had customers change the orientation of the Nomax so the beavertail opens towards you but the Nomax wasn't designed for that orientation so fitment may change. The velcro along the strap is to secure the strap so it doesn't flap. Do you have an example of the adjustable SJ buckles you're referring to?
@ronb135312 күн бұрын
@@MoskoMoto Yes, I've seen several posts on ADV and other forums where owns have reversed it. Mine is pre-ordered and hopefully it'll be in when I nip down to the Oregon Coast from BC next month. It will have side snap buckles on both ends of the bag with the rear straps coming straight back and secured under the front of the seat ('24 1250GSA). The adjustable side snap buckles are molle compatible to fit onto the web loops that the rear straps currently attach to. Confusing unless you see it drawn out I know. Once done I can post a pick.
