Brilliant design and functionality. For anyone wanting to carry a "real" camera, this is the bag to get! I carry a Sony FX3 with a 20mm, a Rode mic and misc bits & pieces. One quick latch to open, keeps it´s shape and stays dry in heavy rain. Good Gear!

I bought mine for going to India, used it on two trips in the Himalayas. It's the most versatile and useful tank bag I've ever had. 5L is a great size but if you have a larger camera like a Canon R6 with a 24-70 f2.8 lens, it can be snug. I would like a 7L version with a few cm more in each direction. I used it on the Royal Enfield Himalayan rental bikes and it fitted perfectly. There is also space which is sort of hidden between the inner and outer parts, where you can put a passport and cash. All my Mosko kit is like this Hood bag, just does exactly what it's supposed to without any fuss and everything is strong, no problem if you drop the bike, it will take more than that to damage this.

That's awesome that you were able to use it during your trip to India! It's definitely a tank bag that works for photographers.

Would love to see a smaller version of this bag.
@MoskoMoto6 ай бұрын
Would you want a smaller footprint or the bag be not as tall?
@Sweetw4ter6 ай бұрын
@@MoskoMoto I would say a combination of both. Smaller footprint allows the bag to be mounted closer to the handlebars and a less tall tankbag means no interfering with the standing position when the bag is mounted at an angle, which is the case for a lot of bikes when the tank is sloped. :)
@MoskoMoto6 ай бұрын
@@Sweetw4ter That all makes sense! We've been asked about a smaller Hood a few times so we'll add some gas to the design fire.

I wonder if a more landscape version of the bag would work, like the Gnome? I like being able to fit a GoPro on a selfie stick, or my DJI Pocket3 and they just barely fit with the current footprint it looks like.

I love the hood, I've put more than 50K miles on mine. I wonder if you could incorporate a magnetic clasp vs. the current one?
@MoskoMoto6 ай бұрын
We did try some magnetic closures during initial prototyping but we found the magnetic attracted dirt which made it hard to close or preventing it from closing securely.

is it too gig for a gas gas es700? I like the design, I have the Gnome now and its too small.
@MoskoMoto18 күн бұрын
The Hood Tank bag fits the ES700 really well since the front of the bike is flat. This helps keep the Hood from interfering with your riding position when standing up.

Hi! Does it fit on the CRF300L with the Acerbis 14L tank? Also the dimensions on the website - are these internal or external? I can't know if my DSLR will fit
@MoskoMoto6 ай бұрын
Looking at photos of the tank it looks like the Hood would fit but could be a little tall if you're standing up often. The dimensions are for external measurements and the volume (5L) is for internal.
@Tony-kf8qy5 ай бұрын
@@MoskoMoto Thank you. And sorry last question, what is the difference between the v1.2 and v2.0 please?
@MoskoMoto5 ай бұрын
@@Tony-kf8qy The new Hood (V2.0) features a redesigned closure buckle optimized for one-handed gloved opening, with lock-compatible grommets on the strap for added security. We've also refreshed the mounting solution to be compatible with the universal Mosko tank bag mounts, replacing the Hood (V1.2) cam strap mounts. The opening hinge has been structured to be more sturdy when the Hood is fully open. And finally, a new internal organizer wallet design replaces the previous organizers, helping keep small items tidy inside the bag.

I so wish you made this in a 2L the pico is just a little too small and the other tank bags don’t suit the 501. Come on Pete just shrink the design by 60%.
