I remember seeing this movie as a double feature with my parents and little sister in '91. Beauty and the Beast was #2. What an amazing double feature.

The French Horns are a brilliant choice. It’s sad yet hopeful, brave yet uncertain, a valiant yet humble hero’s theme.

I listened to this at 6.14 am , the morning i I found out my grandmother had just died, she had raised me after being up for adoption, , the sun was rising and clouds were red , this gave me comfort when I needed it to face the day , I love this theme for more reasons then just Star trek ❤

I finaly watched the movie. The ending felt abrupt... I love Jerry Goldsmith but knowing Crichton basicaly overtook McTiernan direction during editing... I wish we got the Director's Point at some point... Hell, Crichton is not with us anymore... what stops it?

This particular score is one more reason why i think First Contact is the best Star Trek film.

Can we mention that Jonathan Frakes aka Cmd. Riker did a pretty great job as a director? Those space thriller/ horror aspects made this movie pretty unique in all the tons of star trek franchise <3 Even the Soundtrack is pretty cool

I remember having this on VHS and the image in the thumbnail was the cover art with title at top. It had a plastic holographic film do you could move the cover around in the light and the colors would light in an almost 3d effect. If i remember correctly, Picard would shift between Picard and locutus depending on what angle you viewed the cover

I never cared much for the Picard character but this music is awesome.

I didn't like the movie which started to suck about 2 minutes after this battle scene. However I do remember the theatre cheering when the trio of Klingon battle-cruisers appears.

This theme is so emotional and moving!! Thank you 2024 for remembering seeing the movie the crew and Shatner.
