In wvw, it depends on the build. The build I am playing in this video is very bad, and power untamed doesn't get all that much better. Celestial untamed is very good in wvw, one of the best builds rn. But its also insanely boring to play. In spvp, untamed is an ok ranked spec but I don't think its meta. Compared to vindi and spellbreaker, untamed is worse and also countered by both.

@@meemigemeemes7875 the weapons are axe/warhorn and staff. Dagger/warhorn is okay for duels into some matchups, but against most things axe is much better. If you happen to be fighting a renegade with permanent proj hate, swap to dagger warhorn. I no longer really play it, so over patches I don’t really know which pets and traits/gear are best in slot, so that will be something you have to figure out for yourself. But most likely the traitlines are nature magic, wilderness survival, untamed.

Really like the comments, they add a lot of value to the video for me. Balance is important. I'm no fan of ppl reading the skill/trait tool tips aloud. I want to understand the why/your opinions, not just listen to what I can read myself or gameplay without comments on thoughts and decisions. Would be great if the comments show a bit longer. Had to pause and rewind a couple of times now.

@@mogsvei5255 thank you for the feedback! I was thinking they might need to be longer, but because of comments having multiple parts I felt like if they were longer some parts would show at the wrong times. I’ll experiment in the future.

​@@sylver4494 I like the commentary too. It does feel a little awkward to look away from the action and read the text before it disappears. If you want to make it super easy to follow, you could freeze-frame for comments, or just put the text closer to the center of the screen. Freeze-frame would be higher effort of course, but idk, maybe there's a quick way to do that kind of edit. You wouldn't necessarily have to do it for every comment either, maybe just when there's a lot happening.

Good stuff man! I like the commentary as well. Some do disappear quite fast, either maybe fade em in/out to give em some more screen time or decreasing a bit the text size to fit some more in at one time, giving a good reason to leave it on screen longer. Nonetheless, always fun to see your stuff, keep it going!

I think its pretty good, and it is a build I would keep on an equip template in case I ran into something really tanky that I thought this build could bunker bust. Like harbinger, renegade, bladesworn. Things that couldn't be killed by my normal builds. The build is somewhat boring to play, as its defense is the high stealth uptime and you only do damage every once in a while. But with good mobility, decent sustain, and high as fuck burst damage the build is strong.

The untamed build I play is one I find fun, but I would only say it’s ok. It has the tools it needs to be viable, but I think that objectively there are much better and much easier options. Its pretty much the older spvp roaming build. Untamed as a whole however, is without a doubt one of the best and easiest specs to play right now. While I don’t know exactly who I have fought are running, I have run into some untamed builds that are insanely strong, it’s harder to kill than harbinger although it does not have as much damage and pressure. I can guess at what they run, but since I do not enjoy the playstyle the builds present I might miss some key details and choices they make that greatly improve the build.

@@sylver4494 mind sharing the build? Curious on the take of a more experienced Ranger player The huge crutch I can't do without is Speed signet. There's stronger utilities I probably could run, but the runspeed is absolutely massive

It is also possible he wasn't wilderness survival and instead he was beastmastery (with different sigils than agility), but idk if that setup can have perma prot like he had. I didn't see protect me used, but I know for certain he had the other two stunbreaks, I wasn't really paying attention to his build I didn't really want to fight him lol because he was just immortal.

@@sylver4494 I meant yours more than the immortal opponent, but it's an interesting approach for sure. I'd sttill tend towards a more offensive approach when playing Untamed tbh

He used a skill called rocket boots, and while it wasn't off a cliff it was on a steep ledge and I already had him on low-ish hp from arrow shots. So yes, he jumped to his 💀

You can play it but you will lack damage when you fight other celestial builds. There are celestial boonbeast builds that do as much damage as sic em while being tankier and easier to play and they are what I would recommend.
