In my next life I hope I will kite with this level of smoothness and elegance. This is just next level.

It is indeed! I ride with the Shokz Openswim pro 2 bone conduction headphones. They make my sessions a lot more fun again when you can jam to some songs.

Will you please show us how to start from the sandy beach slidding into the water
@stevenakkersdijk10 күн бұрын
It's better for your board when you walk in to the water. But sliding in is not that hard, just need to lean a lot on your back foot.

I have a Q as a noob... When you say "kick the water" what do you mean exactly?
@stevenakkersdijk10 күн бұрын
Push the water away / extend the leg. As if you're jumping on the ground.

Hey Steven, I have one question what i am wondering about already some time already.. The thing you mentioned, that during the recovery phase the bar should be pulled out a bit, is it also valid for a standard jump without sending or looping? Because when jumping in strong wind i found this the only way for me to land higher (10m measured) jumps. So i always let the bar out when „falling“ after the apex and then just before the landing i pull again (either with a steering input or heliloop). But i was never really sure about if the bar pulling out when falling is really a good thing or not.. Thanks already for your propper answers as always!! 😊🙏🏾
@stevenakkersdijk10 күн бұрын
Hey, That's a good question! To my opinion it's a lot easier / better when you keep the bar pulled all the way in when you do a "normal" jump. When you push the bar out a little bit your vertical descent speed increases and you'll have to steer your kite in the right way in order to slow yourself down. Additionally the kite will fly further behind you making for less lift up (this is even worse on the small sizes) . In order to get it back in front you'll have to make a harder steering movement. So therefor I always suggest to keep the bar all the way pulled in. Just need to make sure your kite is properly set up and it doesn't backstall. Hope this helps! Give it a try and let me know what you think. You should get more of a floaty jump.

I have been waiting for this type of content, nice one 👍. I have the XR7 in 9m with the core pro sensor 2 bar. I can happily fly it from 25-35mph wind range in the high Y. If I use a low V in the top end of that wind range the kite feels stacked..... The bar feedback between the 2 styles is very noticeable...... I also think bigger kites in light wind work better with low V.
@stevenakkersdijk15 күн бұрын
Completely agree on the feelings you have on the water. Going from a high Y to Low V on the CORE kites when you're already stacked is not the nicest 😅 Glad to hear you 're enjoying the content

@@stevenakkersdijk ....sorry ☺.....but often you kiters put super spots ( ...and tricks ) ....and so it is quite " normal " ours desire, behind a flat pc, to know at least the spot ....and dream a day to go there😁........I think the spot is part of kitesurfing as mountains for mountaineers.....so it would be a good habit put it, also because often not all are as you that answer to us 🙃

Thanks for your videos! I really have a problem with jumping, furthermore with my 9m Dice SLS. With the 12m everything works like a charm: edging, pop, going upwards...just reached 6,80m and consitently jumping over 4m without kickers, heli looping sometimes... with the 9 almost every jump results in a instant slow forward rotation which turns me half around! Can't figure out what I am doing wrong with the 9!
@stevenakkersdijk18 күн бұрын
Hmm that's odd indeed. Can't really say what you're doing without a video unfortunately. Hope you're able to figure it out.

I chose to buy a 12m Pace Pro + 7m XR Pro. I want another Pace Pro for in between. What size would you use? 10m or 9m Pace Pro? I weight 80kg
@stevenakkersdijk18 күн бұрын
I've been riding the 10m PACE Pro a lot over here in Capetown lately and this was also the size I had with on my Canada trip. For 85kg it works really well! But you can also take the 9m as it's a bit quicker. If you really want to progress in loops I would recommend the 9m.
