A while back I painted the fishing blended piece from a tutorial of yours. I’ve been hunting for it but can’t locate it. It was the most peaceful art I’ve ever done and would love to try it again

We had to use oil pastels this week in art class to line our watercolor paintings and i was getting really frustrated because it wouldn't blend out properly and it looked agitating and irritated my fingers. Worked better with paper towel but it was still god awful to work with and i thought i was bad at them (maybe I still am as I don't use thrm much and honestly I'm better working with controlled, thin lines instead) but the paper we used was low quality copy/bristol paper so that's why it turned out awfully. Hopefully the next time i use them I'll have better paper.

Kind of disagree with Craypas Junior Artist as they scrape off the layers once you reach its limit and some colors are translucemt when mixed. Pentel did i'ts job.

Great! What about when gluing a ready painted acrylic paper on canvas? You cant wet it, can you? But how to get it straight?
@SyndiaArt28 күн бұрын
No you can't wet it. It's a little bit trickier. If you leave your painting I'd recommend going to see professionally framers for advice. If you don't mind experimenting I would try isn't matte medium or gel and giving it without wetting it and wiping the extra glue right away. Good luck 💖

I use cheap paint and the colors tend to darken a little bit when mixing. My advice is to use the brightest, neon colors like flouresence pink and lemon yellow when creating secondary colors like purple, green and orange.

Excellent pointers
@thesilverpenАй бұрын
if cheap paint is fugitive, then it is less desirable for serious paintings. However, I would think using a UV protective medium and varnish might perhaps solve this?? I use three mediums for pro paint, but that is after a long time of slowly adding a tube here and there of better paint and mediums. Cheap paint was my go to for years.

What do I do if the paint is lifting in a large canvas at the bottom of my sunset clouds and I have a deadline on it. I don’t know if it’s fixable or how to paint over it smoothly? I gessoed and sanded it 3 times. I don’t get it? What can I do please?

I wanted to ask, how does one protect and finish when doing watercolour on canvas to protect the watercolour from elements and for when having to clean surface at sometime in future? Obviously when with glass its easy, but i cant think of how if watercolour on canvas ...

I don’t know if you have access to it or not but you should try Folk Art for the heap comparison. Deco art is horrible compared to Folk Art and Folk Art is less that $2 for the 2oz bottle and most of it has a nice buttery consistency. And I prefer matte finish. I’ve never noticed any smell on any of the deco art, apple barrel, Anitas, or Folk Art
