How creative and beautiful is this!! To create a family heirloom out of nature's own beautiful wood with it's gorgeous grain to replicate a major planet. Kudos Scott! I know you could market this easily but then it wouldn't be special would it. John Fischer

I called the other day.2 inch tubing was $12 or 15 per foot. Instead of 45 degree tubing in the front you could use flat plate gussets. Thanks for the info. It looks like it would do the job. I was wondering about the tires and axles. You answered that. Those are not lawnmower rider tires. Good to know.Thanks

Aha. The bumper and strap so it doesnt hit the front. I will steal that idea. Thanks. I am making an arch for my tractor 3 PH.

Neat to see another method of getting firewood out of the woods. I've been just bucking the logs right where they lay, using a $40 pickaroon to bring the rounds out to the nearest trail on my property, then hauling with a little dump cart back to my splitter.
@scottwilson78 Жыл бұрын
Thanks… but I do the same as you for firewood. These logs are for lumber. I use the log arch to keep sand and dirt off the logs and to keep from tearing up my property.

What a great device. This design is about as simple as they come. I'm just not sure that I trust my stick welding skills enough yet-but boy, would one of those be nice. Thanks for the ideas.

Thank you for your valuable information, how much weight do you think you can carry?
@scottwilson782 жыл бұрын
Not sure about how much weight it can carry, but it’s a lot. I have carried an 8 foot long, 20” diameter white pine log.

All these over engineered log haulers are a big waste of time. I see the one that has a simple grab and pull as the best solution to getting wood into the ramp fo4r sawing.

cool! Quick upgrade suggestion- weld a 30" section of chain where you use the tie down strap and a hook on the opposite side so once you lift the log, the chain drops down and all you have to do is hook it on the other side
@scottwilson782 жыл бұрын
Great suggestion! I did exactly that about a year ago! Great minds and all that…
