It works since my car is 2000 the wiring is different. I just looked up a wiring schematic and was able to find the vss to tach. Also since I'm using a auto ecu I have to adjust values in the parameters.

Since it is auto, and im swapping itI have to go through all this trouble to add the reverse.

I'm not using it. I've had issues where it doesn't clear my exhaust headers

But it did clear my buddies header

@@Almostboosted yeah, I noticed that when I was swapping the k24 into my 8th gen. I want to use the stock exhaust manifold so I can use the cat off my crv for emission purposes. It looks like it won’t clear with the shield. Once I get the emission stuff done I’ll put it back on and see if it clears with the longtime header I have.

Yeah, the reason why it doesn't clear/fit correctly is because of the difference in engine height it throws off a bit k24 a bit taller.

@@Almostboosted yeah, almost 2 inches taller I think. I’m in the final stretch but I got a pretty solid set up with hondata and a stage 1 exedy clutch and a few random bolt ons. I’ll upgrade the oil pump and vtc a little bit down the road.

@rcgod Not sure if you are referring to a 2.4 or a 3.0 6 cylinder. But your 2007 Accord had this dosplament option 2.4 L K24A4/K24A8 I4 3.0 L J30A4/J30A5 V6. For a jdm 2.4, probably the k24a non rbb. Because it would be the closest to your ecu parameter without reflashing.

If your car is set up for drive by wire, the one you got would not work. You would have to get the electronic one.

You need to get a matching one to be compatible with the engine harness wiring schematics. I'm running a rsx type s one.

I'm very new to kswaping. Honda fits ge8. I'm not sure about the compatibility. But seeing the k24z are the most compatible ones. They typically run i believe tsx harness or accord to my understanding.

That's what I tell my buddy to do. Because F series are to expensive to replace vs a k series.

Yes definitely. I would rather invest in a compatible set up all usdm waterpump with matching alternator and accessories it would be a lot easier.

@ so about a year ago now I purchased a 8gen si due to the dishonesty of the previous owner I’ve come to find out the firewall where my clutch pedal assembly is, is rusting out and I’m in the edge about what to do keep in mind I have done a stock rebuild on the k20z3 even adding arp headstuds, what would be your advice on what direction to go

@8thgenManny I would take it to body shop to see how bad is the firewall rust and. To see how much it wouldn't cost to repair. Is alot because you would probably have to remove the engine to make space for the repair. I would definitely save it if is worth it.

From my knowledge, there are RBB 1, 2, 3, and 4. Here in the States, we only got k24a2, but Is k24a equivalent .

Is rbb head good? What does it mean 1 2 3 4? Also one guy is selling type s rbb head with triptonic, so was concerned would its manual gear give performance like a normal type s manual gear or with lag.

@AhmedJAnsari the best ones to get are 3 and 4 bigger intake valves. And the transmission I doubt they are better than a k20 on just have to look up the gearing ratios.

Very simple step it has an oring like gasket seal and hondatabond/silicone all around the edges.

Those engine I believe are earth dreams very fairly new. I'm sure they probably have stuff for them. I'm very unfamiliar with those newer engines

@@Almostboosted yea the engine is the worst in terms of performance mods. It’s a k24w1 inline 4 but all the parts like the pistons and rods aren’t interchangeable at all. Super hard to find a way to mod sadly.

I looked up the specs, and they definitely have the potential has 185 hp and torque high compression. I just believe we are not there yet. We are starting to mess with k20c and the 1.5 turbo engines now.

They are known to fail, also the Type S tune is just fine to drive with, unless you have wiring or some other issues that you are questioning should be good to drive
