We also tell our corners if they get a bubble or an out route by #2 to jam the outside shoulder of #1 as they come up to make the play. This will help out the safety as he works to get over the top of #1. It will also disrupt the timing of the #1 receiver and the QB trying to complete the hole shot. If the split between #1 & #2 are too far apart we will check to Quarters, giving the out route to the Sam linebacker (overhang player).
