I try my best, but as I don't speak German fluently, often I have to look up unfamiliar words and phrases. However, for songs with very simple lyrics, like this one, I can translate entirely myself

another great cover!!! sad that sora doesn't sound as natural in english like Saros and Ayame (big fan of the Rondo - Schwarzer Prince cover because it sounds extremly close to regular singing )

Thanks! Yeah it's just the particular way the singer sings, works fine in Japanese, but sadly it made her English phoneme synthesis not as natural-sounding as some other JP VBs. Anyways, her peculiar pronunciation actually lent a lil some'n some'n extra to this so I had to go with her XD And after a couple of listening I got used to her accent and quite enjoyed her performance~

Two years later, I still think that this is the uncanniest song in the entire musical, and good Lord, does this version prove my words. It's so creepy and beautiful at the same time. Great job as always!

Thank you! Yeah I was working on this one pretty much the same time as Wie Du from act 1 (also Mama wo bist du and that one's reprise), and indeed, to keep relistening to the change in Elisabeth's character was heart-breaking. It's not a pleasant thing for anyone to keep losing bit by bit the entire world they once knew (however fantastical they may have been, which is kinda the case for her character) until all hope for life is just gone :(

XD I just enjoy learning I guess, but actually these German musicals have been very helpful too! Because I enjoy learning languages the most when it's in a creative or artistic form! (also French can be a bit of a difficult one, I think we can agree on that, *ahem*)

Grammatically I'd agree for sure! but I know i struggle with languages that basically glide over that many "written" characters, especially when listening and just trying to catch any words. And well, French and German did descend from different language branches, difficulty when learning is expected. But hey, practice makes perfect! 😊

Oooh that WOULD be interesting, sadly fast songs aren't usually what I tune 😅 maybe most people chose sheena for ballads because how melancholic she can sound? least that was my reason, got a feel for the range of her voice and was immediately "Glassy Sky, u r it" lol

Thank you, glad u liked it! I've actually done quite a few more English adaptations (the lyrics) of German musical songs, just sitting in my folder gathering too much dust. There's just so much work involved with actually making any of them, and sadly my schedule is too packed 😮💨 I really want to finish and share more of them tho! Soon ™️ (wish I could do this full time just so I could share all I got faster, but that's just a dream for now XD)

You are right, Dreamtonics never showcase their Voicebanks capabilities. Finding this cover with Sheena was mere coincidence for me (I even forgot she existed), and If it wasn't because of this cover I would have just assumed it was just Natalie but with another name and colors. But... Damn she sounds real and expressive! It's not the first time I've met with something like this, it happened the same with Natalie, I used to think her voice was just for soft songs, but then I found a cover of Sleeping Beauty with her and I couldn't belive how powerful she is. I loved this cover by the way, it sure does a better job showing what Sheena can do.

Thank you! Ikr? I almost didn't get Sheena cuz Dreamtonics pushing out so many VBs so fast nowadays, but I'm so glad I did. (I know they're always high quality, but jeez Dreamtonics, up your demo game a little) Speaking of, let's not even pretend there was a "finished" demo song for poor Nat 🙄 If she was among these big waves of releases, and especially with singing synth big names like Teto and Gumi coming in, doubt she would receive much attention (def not with that demo) All that aside, I'm glad u liked the cover! :]

I know this is an old comment but I gotta say ditto! Sheena has such a great voice for pop songs, and I especially love her shout-type powerful vocal mode, which isn't commonly seen in vocal synths 'v'

I mostly just use Japanese phonemes for Spanish pronunciation. But if you have SynthV Studio Pro and AI voicebanks, you can use phonemes from different languages to piece together more accurate phonemes. For example, the [u] phoneme from mandarin Chinese is best for the Spanish u, [x] from mandarin is best for j or x. And you have the [dh] and [th] phonemes from English for between-vowels d and European accented c/z. Etc. etc Hope this helps!
