Solid information. Makes me think the R700 clone market, like the Aero Solus, may be the way to get the compatibility of the R700 without the headache of a total makeover

If someone made a complete new winch carrier that would fit the sequoia frame, would that be a viable option if the mounts existed for the bumper to attach? I own both a built 100 series and a 1st Gen sequoia. (and a shop with a cnc plasma table. LOL) And I'm continually frustrated there aren't more options for the trees.

Yes, I actually tried to get ironman4x4 to offer one but they said no. I’m sure someone could sell a modified one and it would be perfect

I'm looking to buy one from Utah, 300k for $4k. It's a 2004 Limited. Looks mint on the interior and nothing is scratched or broken. Owner claims it's all highway miles. And I believe him considering how good it looks. Is it worth getting at 300k? Or will I be dumping money into it?

Sure I can get one filmed. It might be a month roughly. We are in the process of moving and my guns are at a trusted friends home at the moment. I didn’t want the storage or safe onsite for people to see how big my collection was. My business email is linked on my account if you had specific questions. I can answer whatever you might be curious about.

It looks solid! I wouldn't have guessed that you'd like the Ranger based on your height. I sat in one once and I thought that it felt a little cramped for a bigger guy. Maybe I didn't give it a fair enough chance.

I like your build. It looks really nice. It provides enough security for your ammo not to be borrowed casually. I'd be concerned about long term storage and it not being air tight.

I got into the AR on a dare on 6.5 Grendel, 16". I was reading on a chat, a former Sniper and current LR Instructor loans out his 12" that he can regularly hit 780m, and reported hitting a 900m on his first effort. The 10.5" pistol I built just gave me a 1" group at 100m with a 2MOA Dot. This is wild.

You didn’t mention your specific location, however, I would challenge you that your test is definitely not comprehensive. I monitor engine and under hood temps routinely and upon engine shut down I recorded up to 265° in the engine compartment of an old diesel truck I keep on the road. So the heat flood when it’s 100° outside after an engine shut down is the extreme test that needs to be performed. You should be performing this test in late July and August in Texas.

I asked my mechanic if he has another customer who is selling a car and he said one has a 2006 Sequoia SR5 for $8500 with new engine(has 11k on it), new tires, radiator, starter, battery, and new brakes. I contacted seller and will go look at it tomorrow. Any additional questions I should ask and is this a good price? I still need to find out how many total miles are on odometer, but sounds like most if any issues have been fixed.

Ok but what about the cleaning rod brace that gets pressed on mid way between the fsb and gb? I measured mine and its about .01" smaller than the entire textured journal section that it goes on. The og barrel even had a stop built into the profile and was a smooth surface. This barrel would require larhing down the entire length of like 4-6" and mess up the textured profile. Did you come up with a way to combat that? I think enlarging the brace would be the best way maybe but it probably will marr the textures as it presses on. Also that heavy modification for the bipod spacer you memtioned, is it too tight? Like do i need to lathe it? Mine didnt come with that so id like to have as much info as i can before i come up with a plan. Thanks.
