Thanks for sharing. My interest is in fitting for a first gen Tundra. I had held the inner structure for this bumper up to my frame rails, but did not see the straight forward approach that you took. Good job, I'd be tempted to follow your path, except soon after looking at the tray, I decided to stick with my original route and starting putting my Move bumper together.

Then it needs to be welded and painted/powder coated as well after. Once you pay for those plus the add ons like bull bar and lights, these type bumpers start to look a lot more reasonable

In 8 days from now, this video will be buried in my subscriptions page, but is probably the video I'm most interested in re: 1st gen Sequoia. Why set the premiere for so far out, if at all?
@isaacspoon2 жыл бұрын
I have been trying different upload strategies. Being a super small channel, the views I get on the videos in the first few hours of uploading/going live really seem to affect how frequently KZbin suggests my videos in general. Likes and comments affect KZbin suggestions of videos too, which is why I try to stay active in responding to people, but in reality few people like and comment on videos in relation to the amount of views I’m getting on the specific video. My efforts in setting the premiere so far out is to build as much “hype” about it releasing so I can be a more successful KZbinr moving forward. This is a learning experience for me as well so I’m learning as I go. Trying different strategies to see which works best is all I’m doing right now. The more views I get, equates to the more the cost of making these videos is offset by the royalties KZbin sends. At the current rate I’m getting from KZbin, it’ll take 2 years of views to pay the rear bumper alone. The more views I get, allows me more expendable cash to make more videos moving forward
@kindredcouches2 жыл бұрын
@@isaacspoon Totally understand you experimenting. From an algorithm perspective, maybe it is biased towards premieres rather than regular uploads, and that makes it worth it? As for hype, from my perspective as a lover of small KZbin channels and having an interest in your small channel and the topic of first gen sequoias in particular, having the video available immediately is much more agreeable. I see the video title and thumbnail in my subscriptions folder, and I get excited to watch it. Then I click it, and I see it's a premiere for a whole week away or even a day or two away, and I get slightly annoyed and turned off. At the very least, I just forget about the video, and most people don't have notifications turned on for their channel. All in all, premieres seem to be just more barriers between the subscriber and the channel, so the only benefit would be from KZbin algorithm imho. I don't write this to argue, just to give you some perspective from a subscriber who enjoys your videos, and maybe my opinion gives you some insight to how your video delivery is received. I actually run a business making video content for different clients, so I am particularly interested in the topic of video delivery. I'll keep watching regardless, thanks for making these videos!
@isaacspoon2 жыл бұрын
@@kindredcouches na I really appreciate you voicing your opinions as I don’t know what my viewers want until they speak up haha. I just assumed setting the premiere would notify people ahead of time and get them “ready” to watch it when it’s available. But I see your point as well. I’m not entirely sure how a premiere affects the algorithm, but as I say I’m am testing things. From the data I’m able to pull from KZbin analytics, it seems more of the viewers of my channel also are on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday evening, compared to over the weekend, so I probably will be changing my video upload time to Sunday evening. See how that goes and how it affects things. I will keep this in mind moving forward, and hope you still enjoy the content to come!

If someone made a complete new winch carrier that would fit the sequoia frame, would that be a viable option if the mounts existed for the bumper to attach? I own both a built 100 series and a 1st Gen sequoia. (and a shop with a cnc plasma table. LOL) And I'm continually frustrated there aren't more options for the trees.

Had a question, when you look inside the frame rail does it get blocked off or you can see through the entire length of the frame rail? Trying to figure out a way to clean the inside of the frame with a sewer hydro jetter . Thanks
@isaacspoon9 ай бұрын
I don’t know if you can see the entirety of the frame rail, I think you can though (from memory). I believe it is a single/long cavity the length of the vehicle. That being said, it wasn’t something I was specifically looking for so I could be wrong

I have a Sequoia 4x4 Limited and I am looking at your video which I really liked. Considering buying an Ironman 4x4 LC100 bumper is out of the equation, since you did a lot of modification of their product (i.e. it is not a well engineered product), a good product should be plug and play, with none to minimal mods possible. Plus, that company has no word of honor as far as giving discounts and discount codes, I am surprised you even mentioned their brand name. They do not deserve our business.
