Seemed like an ok approach. Speed looked good, but still the wings started waggling. I guess it was the 60 pounds that shot the wing loading to hell. The touchdown didn't seem all that hard, just too much for the landing gear. That plane needs to go on a diet, I think.

@ToggleAA88 Yes, I know the music drowns out the radial. But, the CJM corsair was overall a heavy bird and was no fun to fly. So much so that my dad,(the one in the vid) has built another one from the Don Smith plans, and is currently flying it and having a ball! Especially since the new one weighs like 15lbs lighter! I'll get the video of the new corsair posted soon

@ILSDEMON Hey, well if you have an radio control aircraft club nearby, you should go to them. When starting this hobby, it is highly reccomended you start off with a trainer aircraft with a buddy box. Your local club should have at least one trainer aircraft you could use to do an introductary flight, but if not then they will at least help you through buying and learning how to fly model aircraft.

@lvsupertech We flew on ford island for the "Biggest Little Airshow" a while back for the Pacific Aviation Museum. It was an amazing backdrop as we were actually flying off of Ford Island! There is another "biggest little airshow" on August 21st and 22nd so if you are in town feel free to stop by

Where is the field near Dole Plantation? I know of Kaneohe. I enjoy flying with the Paradise flyers.

@cripso123 all of these tumbles are up high, and they are technically stalls, but a rudder stuck hard over isnt really called a G-stall, Thanks.
@cripso12313 жыл бұрын
looked like it stalled to me... it could have been a 'G' stall, these happen when you lose lots of speed and pull high 'g' forces, these are common during the red-bull airrace and is what caused the crash in Perth. Sorry bout your plane... I've been there and done that!

With the shape that plane has, especially in flight, do you ever get briefly confused as to wether it's comming or going? Level or inverted? Without a tail, it's got to be difficult in a way that no other RC is to fly.

After reading bad foam jet reviews its nice to see what they are capable of in the hands of a competant pilot who DOESN"T horse it off into a vertical climb. Theres too many "modellers" buying these jets who just don't have the experience building or ability to fly a jet. Good job.

@Tjetfire Hey thanks for your reply. I hope your new one flies better than ever! I have flown some of the smaller corsairs and they are very pitch sensitive. Good luck on the new one - can't wait to see a video of it. J
