Peril's head just lost crispy thoughts roughly noted Darkstalker epilogue of Winter Turning before her book. Def captured it in quiet empty detail the trauma being more still and lingering than crippling.

It's sad, I'm pretty sure Osprey's death was meant to show Peril what sadness is. It's not Scarlet getting mad at you. It's having someone you love disappear. It shows Peril how other dragons feel when she kills random dragons in the arena for entertainment
