The turning errors explanation is the simple explanation that you want to give students but not what is actually happening. Similar to the inertia on the acceleration/deceleration, centrifugal force is pushing on the magnet/compass card assembly and turning the compass card at the slower/faster rate, but it's not because the magnet wants to stay aligned with MN, though it does of course.

How do you get a long call reserve gig?
@AeroNerd

@@omsval1485 it just depends on your seniority. To be honest, by the time you have the seniority, you’d most likely bid for a line anyway. I still haven’t got LCL (Long Call Long 24 hour callout) or LCR (Long Call Reserve 12 hour call out) yet

Coming from a real 737 FO, I will nitpick this setup a bit: the speed brake in the plane has those markings, but they aren’t really detents. Even going from DOWN to ARMED you can barely feel it click in there, and no detent whatsoever at 50%. Also, I’d totally rip that flap lever out every time 😂 I’m used to kinda man handling this plane because everything (except the speed brake lever) has very positive clicks and detents.
