Hey, hope you are well. I would say wearing thicker glasses wasn't my biggest struggle. I was very restricted in other activities i.e. swimming . If i removed the glasses all I could see is blurred vision and I couldn't walk without wearing glasses. I was very dependant on the glasses I used to wear. If something would have happened to them I wouldn't be able to do anything. I did use to carry a spare pair I had no choice. For me the pros outweighed the cons in ICL surgery and about 18 months on I am very happy eventhough there's a couple of small issues. Hope that helps.

I will be making another video soon as its been a while now and although the left had recovered quite some time ago, the right lens was replaced around 7 months ago but fully recovered. @@travelvlogs7253thank you for your detailed answer. I had my evo icl surgery done two weeks ago. My left eye was straight up perfect (20/20 or better), the lens in my right eye had to be rotated two days after the initial surgery. I am probably still trying to adopt to the different vision, but my vision on the right eye still isn't as sharp. Was there much change in the quality of vision during recovery time? I've watched several of your videos, thanks for sharing your journey. What kind of ICL did you get ? The last generation 'EVO' ICL with the small hole in the middle? Also, to prevent the ICL from moving, some doctors say they need to perform a special measurement (with ultrasounds) before operating, to find the perfect implant size: do you remember if you got that measurement? I was considering Lasik but I'm really at the limit for this method (-7.5 and -6), and the more I look into ICLs, the more they seem better than Lasik...
@travelvlogs72535 ай бұрын
Hi, thank you for watching my journey. Yes I had the EVO one that has the hole in the middle, which allows the fluid to flow through and also prevents pressure building up. Most of the time if the lens moves its probably because its not the right size. Measurements were taken before the surgery and then the lenses were ordered. I didn't have the measurements taken with ultrasounds though. Where are you based if you don't mind me asking? All I would say is take your time and ask as many questions to the eye doctors. ICL surgery is also reversible if there was ever I need and Lasik isn't.
@CycWins5 ай бұрын
@@travelvlogs7253 Thanks for answering, I'm from France. My eye doctor doesn't want me to do ICL even though he says he can only correct -6D with Lasik... So my left eye would remain at -1.5D, I tested with contacts but I consider the vision quality is not great enough given the risks and the cost of surgery. I'm going to look for another opinion in a big vision clinic.
@saudalhelal7 ай бұрын
Salam brother I am set to do ICL in near future I am going to do it only for one cause: my severe chronic migraine. I have anisometropia (a known cause of headache), and I am extremely sensitive to any disruption of visual acuity, even a 0.25 diopter of under/over correction can make my daily headaches worse. I am writing this comment to have some insights about the lifelong complications from you or others that you know, as I am being somewhat afraid that if I get a lifelong complication that impacts visual quality, I may end up with never being able to treat my headaches. There is another option that I do a PRK or Lasik with partial correction of the weak eye to equalize its acuity with the strong eye, just to treat the anisometropia.
@travelvlogs72537 ай бұрын
Ws and thanks for watching my video. Have you had any consultations for ICL? I would definetly recommend having some consultations for ICL, PRK and Lasik. In terms of my journey and issues, overall I'm still very happy even though there were complications as the right lens had rotated but for me that was in the past and was recitified. I had high astigmatism so placing the lens correctly was very important. I know its a big decision for you to make and ICL is quite expensive, the last thing you want to do is pay a lot of money and you are still left with headaches . Yes ICL lens can be removed if for some reason you ever wanted them removed. Where are you based and what is your current prescription for your eyes?
