@@amaltalukdar2278 hi , hope you are well. It is very rare for that to happen . In my case I was very unfortunate and it happened. Sometimes the eye doctors advise and say wait as the lens may rotate back to its original position . In my case it didn’t happen . Eventually the new lens they put in was slightly bigger than my left lens

Hey, hope you are well. I would say wearing thicker glasses wasn't my biggest struggle. I was very restricted in other activities i.e. swimming . If i removed the glasses all I could see is blurred vision and I couldn't walk without wearing glasses. I was very dependant on the glasses I used to wear. If something would have happened to them I wouldn't be able to do anything. I did use to carry a spare pair I had no choice. For me the pros outweighed the cons in ICL surgery and about 18 months on I am very happy eventhough there's a couple of small issues. Hope that helps.

Hi, thanks for your comment. So initially both eye were pretty much recovered around 3 months but then the right lens rotated causing pain, discomfort and an increase of eye pressure. I will be making another video soon as its been a while now and although the left had recovered quite some time ago, the right lens was replaced around 7 months ago but fully recovered. I've had to small changes i.e. wearing sunglasses more often when its bright. Are you looking to get it done?

@@travelvlogs7253thank you for your detailed answer. I had my evo icl surgery done two weeks ago. My left eye was straight up perfect (20/20 or better), the lens in my right eye had to be rotated two days after the initial surgery. At the one week follow-up appointment my vision was still "only" 16/20 on the right eye. I had some discomfort (mostly headache) during the first two weeks. I am probably still trying to adopt to the different vision, but my vision on the right eye still isn't as sharp. Was there much change in the quality of vision during recovery time? Looking forward to your new video.

I've watched several of your videos, thanks for sharing your journey. What kind of ICL did you get ? The last generation 'EVO' ICL with the small hole in the middle? Also, to prevent the ICL from moving, some doctors say they need to perform a special measurement (with ultrasounds) before operating, to find the perfect implant size: do you remember if you got that measurement? I was considering Lasik but I'm really at the limit for this method (-7.5 and -6), and the more I look into ICLs, the more they seem better than Lasik...
@travelvlogs7253
@travelvlogs7253 5 ай бұрын
Hi, thank you for watching my journey. Yes I had the EVO one that has the hole in the middle, which allows the fluid to flow through and also prevents pressure building up. Most of the time if the lens moves its probably because its not the right size. Measurements were taken before the surgery and then the lenses were ordered. I didn't have the measurements taken with ultrasounds though. Where are you based if you don't mind me asking? All I would say is take your time and ask as many questions to the eye doctors. ICL surgery is also reversible if there was ever I need and Lasik isn't.

@@travelvlogs7253 Thanks for answering, I'm from France. My eye doctor doesn't want me to do ICL even though he says he can only correct -6D with Lasik... So my left eye would remain at -1.5D, I tested with contacts but I consider the vision quality is not great enough given the risks and the cost of surgery. I'm going to look for another opinion in a big vision clinic.
@saudalhelal
@saudalhelal 7 ай бұрын
Salam brother I am set to do ICL in near future I am going to do it only for one cause: my severe chronic migraine. I have anisometropia (a known cause of headache), and I am extremely sensitive to any disruption of visual acuity, even a 0.25 diopter of under/over correction can make my daily headaches worse. I am writing this comment to have some insights about the lifelong complications from you or others that you know, as I am being somewhat afraid that if I get a lifelong complication that impacts visual quality, I may end up with never being able to treat my headaches. There is another option that I do a PRK or Lasik with partial correction of the weak eye to equalize its acuity with the strong eye, just to treat the anisometropia.
@travelvlogs7253
@travelvlogs7253 7 ай бұрын
Ws and thanks for watching my video. Have you had any consultations for ICL? I would definetly recommend having some consultations for ICL, PRK and Lasik. In terms of my journey and issues, overall I'm still very happy even though there were complications as the right lens had rotated but for me that was in the past and was recitified. I had high astigmatism so placing the lens correctly was very important. I know its a big decision for you to make and ICL is quite expensive, the last thing you want to do is pay a lot of money and you are still left with headaches . Yes ICL lens can be removed if for some reason you ever wanted them removed. Where are you based and what is your current prescription for your eyes?

@@QaiserAlyas Hi, overall I'm still kind of happy with not having to wear glasses, however the lens issue has been going on for a while now and I still have blurred vision, a little bit of irritation on the right eye as well. It's almost been 4 month's since I had surgery. I would have been much more happier if I didn't have these complications. Not really looking forward to the 2nd eye surgery as the surgery itself isn't an issue it's just post surgery that was an issue for me. I think I mentioned it in the first video. The lens is meant to be for life, however if your prescription changes then you will either have to live with it or I'm guessing have laser surgery to correct it.

Hey thanks for your video. How many times a day did you use eye drops straight after surgery? and then the first couple of weeks? How is your vision now?

Hi, hope your well. Thanks for watching my ICL journey. I do recommend to watch all the videos as the journey was great in the beginning and unfortunately there was some complication in my right eye where the lens had rotated. So for the first few weeks my vision was getting better and sharper. Right now its almost 12 weeks since surgery and my left eye is brilliant, however the right eye is blurry/loss of vision due to the lens rotated. Going back to your question the antibiotic eye drops were used for about 1 week 4 times a day and maxidex if I remember correctly was about 4 weeks 4 times a day

@@travelvlogs7253 Yes I watched all your videos! But aw no thats so sad to hear :( I'm so sorry! Can i ask why it rotated? Can this just happen or does something cause it to happen? Also are they going to fix it for you? Will you need another surgery for that and will you have to pay for it? and ok thank you!!

@@rosita8553 The eye doctor said it's rare but it can happen. Where the lens would sit vertically it's now kind of sitting horizontal position losing the power treating the astigmatism, that's what I understood from the eye doctor. Unfortunately another surgery will be needed they said they will replace the lens with a slightly bigger one , which should not rotate. Thankfully won't be paying for it

@@rosita8553 Thank you. Are you looking to get ICL surgery done? if it wasn't an issue with my lens moving I would say 100% yes without a doubt but what I would now say is do as much research as you can as I think complications are not as rare as experts have made it sound. From my experience currently the pro's outweigh the cons and I hope it stay's that way

Unfortunately it's still a bit blurry. I have an appointment next week at the eye clinic where I had my ICL surgery so hopefully I'll find out what's going on with my right eye

Assalamoalaikum brother, thanks for sharing this video in such good details. I'm also thinking of getting ICL here in India. I just am a bit worried about halos and night time vision. I have to work on my computer for about 10 hours daily so i'm not sure how many days of recovery i would need to be able to do this much laptop work. And do you have any idea about having this surgery in summer or winter. How does weather affects my recovery or any other complications due to it?

Wa alaykam salam brother. I did another video a few weeks after my surgery kzbin.info/www/bejne/mZbCnGqlotaYZtU I'm doing a 6 week update video in the next few days. I do see halos but it doesn't bother me. At first I was sensitive to light quite a lot but that has gone now. I spend pretty much 10 hours a day doing work on my laptop and monitor. I try to take a break every 30 minutes even if its just looking away for about 30 seconds and blinking as advised by the eye doctor. In regards to the weather its best to ask the eye doctors. My surgery was done in February and it was pretty cold in the UK. The recovery process was pretty quick.
