I've watched several of your videos, thanks for sharing your journey. What kind of ICL did you get ? The last generation 'EVO' ICL with the small hole in the middle? Also, to prevent the ICL from moving, some doctors say they need to perform a special measurement (with ultrasounds) before operating, to find the perfect implant size: do you remember if you got that measurement? I was considering Lasik but I'm really at the limit for this method (-7.5 and -6), and the more I look into ICLs, the more they seem better than Lasik...

Hi, thank you for watching my journey. Yes I had the EVO one that has the hole in the middle, which allows the fluid to flow through and also prevents pressure building up. Most of the time if the lens moves its probably because its not the right size. Measurements were taken before the surgery and then the lenses were ordered. I didn't have the measurements taken with ultrasounds though. Where are you based if you don't mind me asking? All I would say is take your time and ask as many questions to the eye doctors. ICL surgery is also reversible if there was ever I need and Lasik isn't.

@@travelvlogs7253 Thanks for answering, I'm from France. My eye doctor doesn't want me to do ICL even though he says he can only correct -6D with Lasik... So my left eye would remain at -1.5D, I tested with contacts but I consider the vision quality is not great enough given the risks and the cost of surgery. I'm going to look for another opinion in a big vision clinic.

Do you still see the rings around a bright light? How long does it take to recover from this issue?

@@amaltalukdar2278 Hi , I hope you are well. Yes I mentioned in the latest video I still see halos in both eyes, more on my right though. It’s been about 18 months since my icl surgery in my left eye I still see some halos but not much.

@travelvlogs725322 күн бұрын
@@amaltalukdar2278 hi , hope you are well. It is very rare for that to happen . In my case I was very unfortunate and it happened. Sometimes the eye doctors advise and say wait as the lens may rotate back to its original position . In my case it didn’t happen . Eventually the new lens they put in was slightly bigger than my left lens

Update on my previous comment: After doing ICL for 40 days and treating anisometropia, My migraine has been relieved by 90%, went from a disabled young man to a very functional one. Anisometropia was missed 7yrs ago by an ophthalmologist. I never regret doing it. Very safe no side effects.

Hi, honestly it was one of the best decisions I have made, its a shame I didn't get it done earlier i.e. 3-4 years ago as my eye sight was stable. Good luck if you go ahead with it. Have consultations, ask as many questions as you have, don't feel rushed as it's a big decision

How long did it take for each of your eyes to recover from surgery day to get to 100% (20/20) vision? Was the recovery time much different for your eyes? Also thank you for sharing your experience!
@travelvlogs72532 ай бұрын
Hi, thanks for your comment. So initially both eye were pretty much recovered around 3 months but then the right lens rotated causing pain, discomfort and an increase of eye pressure. I will be making another video soon as its been a while now and although the left had recovered quite some time ago, the right lens was replaced around 7 months ago but fully recovered. I've had to small changes i.e. wearing sunglasses more often when its bright. Are you looking to get it done?

@@travelvlogs7253thank you for your detailed answer. I had my evo icl surgery done two weeks ago. My left eye was straight up perfect (20/20 or better), the lens in my right eye had to be rotated two days after the initial surgery. At the one week follow-up appointment my vision was still "only" 16/20 on the right eye. I had some discomfort (mostly headache) during the first two weeks. I am probably still trying to adopt to the different vision, but my vision on the right eye still isn't as sharp. Was there much change in the quality of vision during recovery time? Looking forward to your new video.

@@travelvlogs7253yes i already got it done, i have got a little complication with the right eye, also vision quality is still not at 100 % with right eye My vision with the left eye is perfect. Computer work is a bit challenging sometimes, but it is still way better than before surgery are both of your eyes at 100 (20/20) after reposition of the lens?

Hi dear, it's been 12 days since my surgery, but my vision is still not clear and sharp. I consulted the hospital, and they said it will take nearly 15 days to 1 month for improvement. Is this normal? My eye power is SPH -15 with CYL -0.25 in the left eye and SPH -14 with CYL -1.5 in the right eye.

Hi, I hope your recovery goes well. I think it took a few weeks and during that time I did have some blurred vision, watery eyes, halos. My eye doctor said it can take a few months for your eye sight to fully recover and during that time the vision can get sharper. After about a month for me it was as good as it gets and I was happy. Where did you get your ICL surgery done from?
