So how did you determine which solenoid was associated with your 76 code? My 04 Outback is shifting hard and throwing a P0731 code. I also got a 41 flash from the dash lights but I can't find a list anywhere that indicates which solenoid has failed. Great video, thanks!
@Chase_Schrader19 сағат бұрын
There are a few forum posts, I used this one: www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/113278-how-to-read-transmission-codes/. But you can also find it in the factory Subaru service manual! Hmm that’s a new code to me, from what I found, it could be something a little bit more serious like a clutch pack failing. Have you changed the fluid lately in the transmission? Regarding transmission code 41 I see no reference of it, have you check to make sure it’s 41?
@noellemkeСағат бұрын
@@Chase_Schrader Thanks for the response. I read it wrong. Re-did the process and came up with 31. TPS sensor. I like that batter than a solenoid replacement.

How much more travel did you actually get? It's not something I'd do as my car is pretty new but I do find it interesting.
@Chase_Schrader26 күн бұрын
It's hard to exactly tell since I put the coilovers on at the same time but it's a big enough difference that when I tested it compared to a Baja with 6 inch strut top lift and the sway bars connected, I made it through the cross ditch at an angle and he was not. Based off of how much his tires were in the air I would say 3-4 inches from side to side

I'm still on stock suspension and my normal setup is connected front, no rear. With the stock springs and no sway bars, I find the car nosedives under heavy breaking. I reconnected my rear sway for inspection and found it didn't nosedive nearly as much. I'm thinking of a quick disconnect solution is the way for me.
@Chase_Schrader26 күн бұрын
Oh interesting! But I can total see that with stock springs, and no rear sway bar, the weight transfer is going to be much more dramatic with a lifted, sway bar deleted car. I know SLO used to make rear sway bar disconnects back in the day but I am unsure if they make them anymore

@@Chase_Schrader a wheel slipped of the side of a cattle grate. It hooked on and broke the linkages. I like it removed though. And as you mentioned I have heavy springs, the body roll on the road is not an issue really. Not a great deal of horse power to roll it around. 😂

Ahaha yup might as well remove it at that point, it isn’t really necessary!
