LS1 Camaros should never ever ever lose to a 94-08 Mustang. Chevy was SO far ahead of Ford relative to that generation. If memory serves me right bone stock mustangs weren't beating bone stock 2002 Z28/SSs/WS6s till 2010. Maybe 2008 I'm not positive. Those Camaros and Transams were GROSSLY underrated for the sake of Corvettes being able to sell. There was actually no point in buying a corvette because the Z28/SS/WS6s were literally the same exact thing performance wise. Vettes had better braking power but who gives a crap about that.

I use too spank these Camaros with my 5litre 94 cobra . It had mods but fare is fare my mustang had a smaller motor to the Camaro and the 5litre engine was unchanged alot longer than the Camaro engines were . Ford had done a good job with the mustang. It took a long time for GM to catch up to Ford. The proof is out there just look at all the dragstrips and all the utube videos where people are using mustangs for some sort of racing .

+Hunter Smith lmao im impressed with my car its at 650 rwhp 4.6 i own z28 and ss all day...even at 260hp i still kept up with a 2010 camaro ss which is 426hp so u must have driven a beatdown mustang 2v then and yes the guy was trying but i still kept up he got my by half a car...now i can take anything on the street...and when my motor blows from killing Chevys....5.0 swap time

To all the stupid people...it took forced induction on a built motor to make the mustang as fast as a little camaro z28 with a ls1 so ya let tht sink in ...not a ford hater bit people r nutz .... z28 is below the SS aswell and the lt1 camaro though dated (1993) still beat mustang gt's all the way up til 2011 when the new 5.0 came out from ford JS

Any "R" Code versus a LS1 that's the only even run no 2 valve will keep up with a LS1 technically speaking now the 32 V8 in the cobra and terminator cobra which by the way had the supercharger the 99 and 01 cobras do not but they still have the best engine just like the mach 1 mustang a lot of people don't re a lie the mach 1 is the 2nd best mustang in my opinion behind the Terminator has the cobra engine besides the supercharger of course but us lighter which a lot of people don't realize so anybody running a LS1 Run A cobra Or Mach 1 then the driver will determine the result!

yea since lt1's have cathedral port aluminum heads compatible with the composite ls6 intake, dumb ass's. its a 99 z28 LS1, YES LS1, with early 4th gen wheels, & a ss hood. and again, ls6 intake was on the ss and ws6 ls models, some people with the regular 310 hp z or trans am ls1 cars will swap the stock intake for the ls6. not rocket science here fellas. if you dont know what your talking about, then why talk at all? to the few of you guys who commented who know what they are talking about, and you know who you are, you guys catch my drift, yes?

I see alot of people say that thats an LT car. it is not.. just because someone has rims on there doesnt mean they came from factory that way.. all you could know is the owner bought the car with them on there, needed cheap tires to get by on, or they are waiting on new rims.. i had to put around on snow flakes on my 98 TA till i could afford new tires for my 11" wide back tire lol. doesnt mean my car is a camaro :P

The Trans Am and Camaro has a special wheel pattern for only Corvette wheels majority, some aftermarket.

99's did have those front ends. there was no conversion. probably previous owner put them on or he needed a cheap set of tires

I really don't think so, That's an SS hood and front clip. The car has Z28 on the side. Also, if that was an SS the exhaust tip's would be different. I really think its a SS clone. lastly if that was an SS why would you replace all four wheels and tires. Just does not make sense to me. but I could be wrong, Respectfully.

Jacob Gaidemak it is a 98-02. the mod list says LS6 intake. the wheels were probably put on as a cheap way to get by till new wheels or needed cheap tires or hell maybe the previous owner put them on

Your not seeing the point of what he is saying. An LS1 can gain over 100 HP just off of head/cam tune. I have seen LS1 naturally aspirated over 650 RWHP. I am sure there are ones even higher out there.
