This makes me appreciate his performance as Noa even more so than I already did. For him to invest in how apes behave translated so well in his acting.

I've seen wild chimps, when a mirror is placed in the jungle, freak out when the see themselves. They think it is another chimp. These chimps have apparently been trained or worked with to know they are looking at themselves. I don't think they naturally know they are looking at themselves, initially. Check out these gorillas. kzbin.info/www/bejne/qquTkqmNj9SkoMk

Human must be 100% same DNA, not 99.9%, 98% or 60% , that's a huge difference. Simple as that 100% same DNA now or 200000 years ago.

100% is not possible because that would mean every human is a clone..

I find it extremely funny how chimpanzees handle selfie mode identically to how boomers handle selfie mode.

We learned about the Center for Great Apes through MLive and a reporter there Cole Waterman who has sponsored an orangutan Linus there since 2016. It was a delightful story and a moving one; it led to this video and our family conversation and plans to also contribute in sponsorship to this wonderful work. We especially are just awed by orangutans and the photos we've seen of Linus: what a face!

Can the chimpanzees and the orangutans be together in the enclosures and why no gorillas and orangutans?

I watched the movie last week on Sunday, and Owen did incredible as Noa. Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes is my favorite movie of all time, off of the franchise. I loved it. I don't care about what the critics say.
