We learned about the Center for Great Apes through MLive and a reporter there Cole Waterman who has sponsored an orangutan Linus there since 2016. It was a delightful story and a moving one; it led to this video and our family conversation and plans to also contribute in sponsorship to this wonderful work. We especially are just awed by orangutans and the photos we've seen of Linus: what a face!

This is an incredible story, and I feel deep gratitude that there are people who not only care so much about these mistreated primates, but are willing and capable of taking action. It’s sad to see any animal caged, but these chimps and orangutans have the next best thing to freedom in their natural habitat. Some of their stories are heartbreaking, but it is good to see them happy now. ❤.
