Bhanupriya is this mythical indian women who you could find only in indian stories . There is this famous movie in Malayalam called "RAJASHILPI" which is a movie inspired out of Shiva and Satis story . Where she did the role who is of godess parvathis charcter where she dances as Parvati in a song sung by chitra "ARIVINNILAVE". I am a Devi fan . So her face body everything looks apt for Parvati .

In the fight between Menka and Vishwamitra it was Menka who clearly won the battle. She was successful in the job (seducing and breaking the penance of vishwamitra) given to her by Indra. Vishwamitra who could not be defeated by Gods lost to the beauty of a women. It must have been a proud moment for Menka. After all she defeated a great sage. But instead of feeling proud she married the man she defeated. At no pint she made him feel that she is superior to him. After all jo jeetha wohi sikandar and Menka is sikandar.

I wish the camera people were trained better. Shooting at random, this one's just cut off Yamini Akka's feet at random. Kuchipudi footwork is exquisite.

This shooting was in early years of DOORDARSHAN. Then the cameramen are novice to know nuances of Indian classical dances.
