I'm always putting food out for the birds, but last year i bought a bucket of 50 fat balls for around £6.00 & thry never got eaten, i put the remainder in a meadow near me & nothing ate them. I avoid the cheap ones from now on. Mealworms, Quality fat balls & peanuts go very quickly in my garden but living in a farming area i get swamped with pigeons that hoover up Everything & dont leave any for other ground feeders.

The birds yellow hammers, green finches, bullfinches, goldfinches etc, are 75% down to what they were 50 years ago sadly, due to the sterilization and buildings of the land by farmers, landowners, councils governments.

Great tips, thank you. I live in a first floor flat with no outside areas - although I am rural and above my neighbours lovely garden. I 3D printed a small bird table and a feeder bracket, which attach my window ledge. I've been using a mixed feed along with niger seeds and peanuts. The peanuts go no problem. Of the mixed, there tends to be oats and niger left (nothing seems interested in the niger - which is disappointing as I'd bought a bag specifically with goldfinches in mind). At least now I can rationalise my birdfeed purchasing. I do get collared doves which tend to hog the table. Have you any advice on restricting their access?

Thanks for uploading this very detailed and well presented video. I'm new to these cameras and cannot seem to get the WiFi connection between my iPhone 6s and the camera. Followed all the necessary steps but don't see the TC07 listed in the available WiFi list on my iPhone 6s. Any idea's? Steven.
@paultreviews4 күн бұрын
Glad you found my video helpful. Sorry for the late reply- I’m just away at the moment. I suppose you get to the point where the camera has started its WiFi and then has the grey cross which you have selected. Then it is beaming out the WiFi. Go to your camera’s wifi setting (I appreciate you are at this stage) and U suppose this is where the camera is not appearing. It happens to me at time and I go through the routine again till it does. There is a possibility that your iPhone is connected to your strong home WiFi and that may be stropping it looking for another WiFi. Try turning off your phone’s WiFi. Then go through the routine with the camera and when you get to the point it’s sending out a signal - go from the app to WiFi settings and let your phone start looking for WiFi. There’s a good chance it will find your home WiFi and the camera WiFi. If that doesn’t work try being out of range of your home WiFi and see if it works. I’ve found once you get it to work once then it’ll do it easily the next time. Bear in mind, there is a chance that the camera’s WiFi might not show up as TC07 - it might say something else! Whatever is listed - select it 😀 I presume you are using the correct app as there are different apps for the various trail cameras. I think the TC07 uses the Game Camera Pro app but I’m away at the moment so can’t check. Good luck - it’s a good camera.

Hello- Thank you for the video! It was very informative! I was just gifted this trail camera. I live on a few wooded acres, so the camera would most always be in the shade. As such, I would never be able to use the solar panel. Do you think this camera would function well enough without the ability of using the solar panel? As I can't use the solar panel, I am thinking it would would be nice for me to have a camera that could be charged with a USB, but that I could also put backup batteries in. Wondering if you would perhaps have another recommendation for a camera that would meet my needs? (I am in the USA.) I would also like a camera that is wifi capable without having to purchase a monthly plan. Also, you never really discuss the distance you can be from the camera and still connect with your phone. Do you have to be very close to the camera to be able to connect live wifi? Thanks!
@paultreviews18 күн бұрын
Hi, you raise some very interesting points. The camera has a decent internal battery which is charged up by USB. This battery will last a fair time so if you are able to retrieve the camera to charge it up again then that might do. The solar panel is quite substantial in size and would charge the camera even in overcast weather - but of course nothing like as well as in sunshine. I would recommend the T180, CY95 for cameras that have solar panels, internal battery plus facility for adding back up batteries for when the internal battery runs out. I have reviewed both those cameras. The WiFi on these cameras is a local WiFi to your smartphone - I use this facility when close to my cameras to accurately position them, so I don’t know the maximum range - I seem to remember the manuals usually state something like 65 feet. None of the cameras I have use the Internet. If you do want one that is cellular, then you would indeed need to purchase a plan with a SIM card.

An excellent review, thanks so much for the detailed and in-depth walkthrough. I am struggling to identify the differences between this model and the TC22 Solar. They're very close in price and seem to offer almost an identical features set, which model would you recommend purchasing? Thank you!
@paultreviewsАй бұрын
That’s a good question. If you check through the comments I made an in-depth reply to just this question. The answer depends on how you want to use it. Do you need back up power? A really compact camera? The absolute best video quality possible? Prefer to deal with full-size SD card rather than the micro cards? For the first two, the T180 would be better. With my cameras I have found the T180 to be a bit more sensitive when detecting wildlife. Don’t know whether that’s just my cameras.

Thanks, Paul. Well explained video. I have 7 of these cameras and I am mostly very pleased with them. I've had the odd problem where sometimes there will lots of videos on the card and I can see them in the camera, but when I put the SD card in my computer or phone it says there are no photos to import. I then have to download them via WiFi which is extremely slow, especially if they are daytime ones in colour. The other thing is that it appears you can only register up to 5 cameras in the App which, for me, is a little frustrating. They stand up very well to Canadian winters where it it can be -20° and lots of snow! Cheers, Cliff
@paultreviewsАй бұрын
Glad you’re enjoying your many trail cameras Cliff! That’s a nuisance if at times your cards don’t show the videos on the computer. I know you’ll have done this but I presume you are formatting the cards in the trail cameras once you want to delete the videos? That’s interesting you can only register 5 cameras on the app. I have a number of cameras but some use a different app so I never reach 5. Nice to hear they work in your Canadian Winters! Thank you for sharing your observations and tips. Cheers, Paul

After using it for over 1 year, do you have any observations on its water resistance? I have four Campark T80 cameras near Vancouver, BC Canada, and am becoming disillusioned with their water resistance. Our winter weather is wet and dreary (like UK!!), and I have had two of the cameras become completely fogged and unusable. Water actually accumulates inside the camera body, as seen by removing some screws from the panel. Both are out of warranty. I like the idea of the T180's built-in solar panel, but water resistance is also vital.
@paultreviewsАй бұрын
I’ve had the T180 out in all weathers and not had any problems with water or moisture ingression - in fact all my solar trail cameras have been fine in torrential rain and frost. I actually think that the solar panels help protect the camera from the rain - a little like having its own rain hat.

Hi Paul, thank you for the great review. I have had my CY95 since yesterday and made the experience that when I start a video recording with my smartphone (wifi connection with the cam), I have heavy noise/ creaking sounds on the audio. But not when the wifi is disconnected. I think the wifi signal interferes the audio (electronic). Do you have the same issue? Thank you in advance. Zimtfee
@paultreviewsАй бұрын
Hello Zimtfee, That is an issue I had last month. I contacted Ceyomur and they said it was because of other electrical interference in the vicinity. I tried it in the house and in the garden and had the same interference on the audio when recording manually through the camera app on the smartphone and the camera’s WiFi. It is possible that it is my strong home broadband WiFi signal which covers the house and garden. However I haven’t had this issue with other cameras although I’ve only tried it with two others. As you know, there is no interference when the camera is recording by being triggered by wildlife and the camera’s WiFi is not active. As you are doing some manual shooting look out for another ‘gotcha’ This happens with many of these 4K cameras from different manufacturers and they do note it in their manual. If you set the camera for 4K video but you start recording using the camera’s WiFi and the smartphone app, then the camera will record in 2K and not 4K Hope that’s helpful, Paul

@paultreviews2 ай бұрын
I have had all my cameras out in -5C and they have worked OK. Of course the batteries run out faster. I haven’t experienced -10C here but I would be confident it would work but for a shorter period of time. I’d fully charge the internal battery and put in a set of fresh AA backup batteries. When it’s very cold here it’s usually sunny all day so that would top up the internal battery.
