Paul, that was the best review of this camera I have found on line. Thank you for taking so much time to explain all aspects. I have ordered one hence looking for ideas and set up before it arrives. Great presentation and review. From Bulgaria.

I have this model of camera as well, it works great for me! Thank you for sharing and for all the details! It' is always fun to see what small animals visit at night. I found that there is an opossum that stops by regularly.

Glad you're getting good results - unfortunately we have very few mammals in Britain - opossums sound fun.

Hey Paul. I really needed this review! After payday, I’m going to come back on here and order it! It has such good reviews on Amazon too, with adorable little videos people have shot of badgers and foxes. I’m *sold* 🥰 Thanks so much! I’ve asked so many people on YT about trail cams and you’re the only person to be helpful…you’re the only person to even reply!!!

Hi Loucifer, glad you’re going to get one - so exciting finding out what’s happening when you’re not there. As you know I always reply - least I can do when people have watched and taken time to make a comment.

@@paultreviews yes you always reply to everyone. You’re so kind and obviously appreciative of people. I’ve only got 2 videos on YT of stuff I just shot on my iPhone (basic! 😒) but I might upload some trail cam stuff if I get some interesting nighttime manoeuvres! Can’t wait for payday now…this month has been horrendous with one massive unexpected bill after another!!! 😡 Thanks again!!!! 👍🏻☺️

Nothing wrong with using a phone to record KZbin videos - many people do it and the quality is great - I even shoot videos that I’m going to sell on my phone if that’s all I have with me at the time. Let me know what you capture on the trail camera 🐅 🐘 🦒

Thanks Paul for a comprehensive review from a photographer/videographer's perspective. It sounds like this is a very good camera woth decent quality...so hard to find them these days. Most have one or two outstanding features, but are lacking in otheres. 30fps is the minimun I'll accept for trail cams in the 2020's. I was looking at buying one or two of them, but after I saw your review, I'll go thru your USA links! Have a great weekend!

Paul I too have this model camera amongst my collection, I too use tripods almost exclusively in my garden. I modified the front base of some of the cameras I have that have no existing rear bottom 1/4 inch mount by using double sided sticky pads under a block of nylon 60mm wide x 28deep and 20mm tall pre drilled and tapped 1/4 inch so now on the tripod only the light weight back swings open and the rest of the camera is firmly in place on the tripod. I find it so much nicer to use like this and the block is removable if you don't like it without damage to the camera paint with a little alcohol to soften the glue. Very good review btw.

Thanks, Paul. Well explained video. I have 7 of these cameras and I am mostly very pleased with them. I've had the odd problem where sometimes there will lots of videos on the card and I can see them in the camera, but when I put the SD card in my computer or phone it says there are no photos to import. I then have to download them via WiFi which is extremely slow, especially if they are daytime ones in colour. The other thing is that it appears you can only register up to 5 cameras in the App which, for me, is a little frustrating. They stand up very well to Canadian winters where it it can be -20° and lots of snow! Cheers, Cliff
@paultreviews23 күн бұрын
Glad you’re enjoying your many trail cameras Cliff! That’s a nuisance if at times your cards don’t show the videos on the computer. I know you’ll have done this but I presume you are formatting the cards in the trail cameras once you want to delete the videos? That’s interesting you can only register 5 cameras on the app. I have a number of cameras but some use a different app so I never reach 5. Nice to hear they work in your Canadian Winters! Thank you for sharing your observations and tips. Cheers, Paul

Great review! The expense of batteries are what limits us the most. The solar panel will help cut costs. The night vision is great, the frame was well illuminated. You made a good point about not rushing the set up. Thank you

Thank you for your comment - now the days are longer I’m hoping to get colour videos before the camera cuts into night mode.
@BryWorYT7 ай бұрын
I have the Campark T300 /TC02, which is very similar (has one PIR sensor instead of three) and the integrated solar panel is definitely an asset. The internal lithium battery in these models can also be charged with USB. Since there are no external connections the camera is effectively weather sealed. The Campark T100 I had before required 8 AA batteries. High capacity rechargeable NiMH AA's worked OK but recharging them every day or so became a pain - I record a lot of video.
@paultreviews7 ай бұрын
That is a task to recharge constantly - I find a few hours of good sunshine puts these solar cameras straight to 100%

Hi Paul, thank you for the great review. I have had my CY95 since yesterday and made the experience that when I start a video recording with my smartphone (wifi connection with the cam), I have heavy noise/ creaking sounds on the audio. But not when the wifi is disconnected. I think the wifi signal interferes the audio (electronic). Do you have the same issue? Thank you in advance. Zimtfee
@paultreviewsАй бұрын
Hello Zimtfee, That is an issue I had last month. I contacted Ceyomur and they said it was because of other electrical interference in the vicinity. I tried it in the house and in the garden and had the same interference on the audio when recording manually through the camera app on the smartphone and the camera’s WiFi. It is possible that it is my strong home broadband WiFi signal which covers the house and garden. However I haven’t had this issue with other cameras although I’ve only tried it with two others. As you know, there is no interference when the camera is recording by being triggered by wildlife and the camera’s WiFi is not active. As you are doing some manual shooting look out for another ‘gotcha’ This happens with many of these 4K cameras from different manufacturers and they do note it in their manual. If you set the camera for 4K video but you start recording using the camera’s WiFi and the smartphone app, then the camera will record in 2K and not 4K Hope that’s helpful, Paul

@paultreviews6 ай бұрын
Hi George, the camera simply shoots the stills. You have to load those stills into another piece of software, there are are number to choose from - many are free. I think iMovie is free. I use Davinci Resolve which also has a comprehensive free version.

Hi, love your video. Nearly decided to buy this, then watched you on the TC22. Now I'm torn. Any recommendations please?
@paultreviews6 ай бұрын
I know exactly what you mean - I am enthusiastic about both those cameras and either would be a really good buy. Let me try and make some differences: The picture quality is really good on both cameras but slightly better on the TC22 The audio is good on both but slightly better on the TC22 The TC22 uses the full size SD card which is less fiddly. The buttons are bigger on the TC22 and a little easier to use. HOWEVER: the CY95 can take AA batteries as a back up and indeed would work even if the internal battery failed, so could be really handy in the long-term. I much prefer the small, solid form factor of the CY95 - and I believe it’s a touch more sensitive in detecting wildlife - it doesn’t miss much and that’s really important. As a first time buyer I would suggest the CY95 and I wouldn’t be without mine
