@@florerichomme6265 lol I knew this was coming. As the owners, we have a responsibility to be sensitive to how our pets communicate. Ube has always been a very aggressive boi due to not being fixed early enough before we adopted him. This means that sometimes his play is very rough. Luckily he's very expressive with his tail and vocalizations so we've gotten a lot better about knowing his limits. He loves to chase and be chased. One of his favorite games is hide and seek. He will pounce us (no claws) when he sees us and I know he's playing because when we first adopted him he used to bite extremely hard. He's an alpha cat through and through so we have to adjust the way we deal with him.

After a knockdown in the corner on a burnt out opponent or a character with no invulnerable reversal, I like to do a meaty Dr boom cause it puts me at about +4 and right next to the opponent for a grab mixup. And they can't lv1 out of it cause fireballs beat most lv1 supers. Of course I also use it for general locomotion if I need to re space myself.

I play Remy and even Gill in the Arcade version gets easily frustrated. Really. Chun-Li’s so frustrated that when I got Blue Nocturne, she had Kikou Shou. Really. When I played as Chun-Li, every character I played against, fell victim to my traps. Used Houyoku Sen against them. Only Gill killed me there. Remy’s Blue Nocturne actually turns Gill into rainbow watercolor, considering how trying to “resurrect” is pointless to Remy since he thinks he can “kill me easily”. Just saying; Remy can frustrate Gill even more.

Excellent video. I just needed to pause because at 9:17 he describes symptoms that are 100% compatible with ulnar nerve pain, maybe due to compression because of posture or bad ergonomic habits while gaming. If anyone knows him in person or can reach out to him he should have that checked out by a neurologist (If he hasn't already) and do a test called a "electromyoneurography" which can diagnose whether the ulnar nerve is in fact affected and how to go from there. It's not carpal tunnel as that affects the median nerve, the symptoms are different. As for the video itself I've definetely been in this mindspace of "I just suck I can't do it" and it is poisonous to your self esteem and enjoyment of the game. Great dissection of the topic!
@Dagger_G

Hey thank you so much for the comment! Yes that is definitely something he should look into. I've heard that a lot of Smash players develop that problem with their hands. The point I was trying to make is that even if these are very real issues you may have, there is always something you can do to either fix, or mitigate the problem. For example: hand exercises, changing your controller peripheral (hitbox. dpad, ect.), playing an easier execution character, or just looking into the problem at all as you mentioned! It's just too easy to give up and say that there's nothing you can do about it and that things are out of your control. But the reality is that you are always in the drivers seat, and it's you who dictates how these problems affect you.

One of the few bright spots in sfv is right. Balrog has needed some depth for a while now. Ed was an excellent way to explore his personality and what he finds important. Also, Ed's technical skill as a boxer proves Balrog is more than just a power brawler. Balrog has a deep knowledge of the art of boxing, and this is reflected in how he trained Ed in a way that fits Ed. (His size and build specifically) The fact that the two are separated but on good terms is wholesome af.
@Dagger_G
@Dagger_G 7 ай бұрын
That's a really good point you made! Ed fights more from the outside and relies on his quick combinations while Balrog is a true heavyweight that rushes in with single, powerful shots. The fact that he was able to teach that style at all gives you the feeling that he truly loves and respects the sport.
@pigglesgoomshby7249

I love that them being separated was imo less about a falling out between the two and more about Ed just growing up and needing to be on his own path with Balrog not wanting to see his kid leave

It's beautiful. easily my fav remix of his theme! this is probably a question you've been asked before, but if remy ever returns to the street fighter series, would you play him again, and what would you want to see in a remy return in terms of moveset and style?
@Dagger_G
@Dagger_G 7 ай бұрын
Sadly, I feel that Remy will go the way of El Fuerte...Never to be seen again lol. They'd have to find a way to implement charge partition. Honestly I was never a huge fan of his character design, but his playstyle offered sooo much freedom and versatility. I think it was more of a happy accident and I'm not sure how you could put him in a modern SF game.

@@Dagger_G ahh that's a shame. I've always liked Remy because of his weird bishounen edgelord design mostly because it's a trope that's usually missing from street fighter, not to mention there aren't too many savateurs in fighting games either. As much as id love to see him again it's doubtful, and on the off chance he returns his gameplay will probably be completely rehauled. Also, where are you getting the remy hell original memes from?

Finally!! Balrog getting some love . You can say a lot about how Street fighter five messed up, but What they did with Ed and Balrog really deepens Balrog as a character make some more interesting I would even say Ed’s arcade might be the arcade Mode in Street fighter five Edit: sorry for the spelling mistakes. I was in a rush when I wrote this and I am dyslexic. I tried to fix it but there are so many a ton probably slipped through. If my comment is confusing or has spelling mistakes let me know so I can edit it to be more clear.

I was kinda intrigued by Ed ever since his introduction in SF4 in Balrog's and Rose's ending. And when come to SFV tho his appealed was not as great his arching story that centers around his father figure Balrog all seemingly having some potential for him. Not only that but also giving Balrog somewhat a redemption for him to leave Shadaloo kinda like Sagat did. I doubt Balrog will ever return in the future one day unless it's through Ed's arcade ending or interacting with him through World tour, but even still much like with other protege's like Kimberly & AKI Balrog would be proud of how far his student has become.
